Q: How do you avoid the record button from accidently being pushed down in your purse or bag?

I don’t know because I have not been able to use it because I am never sure when it is recording or not. I find this recorder very difficult to use.

Q: Is this discreet? No sound from pen?

No sound. Perfectly discreet. Works while in my shirt pocket.

Q: Will the light stay on when recording?

There is no indicator light when recording. When the power is on, the blue light is on for 4-5 seconds, then the red light flashes three times, then goes off and the recorder enters the recording state.
