I absolutely love this paddle and the way it performs. The CFS or Carbon Friction Surface creates an insane amount of spin. Once you get comfortable hitting shots with spin this will create an advantage that’s really tough to counter on the opposite side of the net. A couple other big perks are the shape and weight of the paddle. I’ve played with the Ben Johns Hyperion 14mm Swift and the 16mm standard Hyperion and in my opinion this paddle feels more balanced and equally weighted. The 16mm carries it’s weight in the head and that can create a challenge with fast hands at the net and overtime can cause a bit of tennis elbow. The Solaire feels much more balanced in comparison and the weight, although roughly the same, does feel spread throughout the paddle rather than focused in the head. As for the shape it’s a bit wider than the 16mm Hyperion and is more of a standard Pickleball paddle shape rather than elongated but the sweet spot pushes out deeper to the edge and balls almost never feel dead even if they aren’t hit perfectly. The Hyperfoam edge wall creates a surface that’s super forgiving if the edges of the paddle connects with the ball, and will save you from miss hits and at least give you a chance to keep the ball in play. Being 14mm this paddle also produces tons of power. The ball comes off the face of the paddle with lots of pace when you get on it and has a crisp pop when you put the ball away. I honestly don’t have anything bad to say about this paddle. I know Joola had some manufacturing issues at launch with their lineup but since then their pickleball products have become some of the best in the industry and this Solaire paddle I think is the best paddle they currently have as it offers all of the best from the Hyperion 16mm (CFS, Hyperfoam, carbon forged handle) but with better weight balance and a more forgiving sweet spot. Quick pros & cons: Pros: - CFS, lots of spin - plenty of power - large sweet spot - perfectly weighted and balanced - neoprene cover looks great and is high quality Cons: - slightly shorter than Hyperion paddles - grip doesn’t stay white very long The Joola Solaire 14mm paddle is superb. It made me a better player and if you buy it, you’ll love it.

Better control; wider head ; great price at the time

A good bat and value for money until I found this pad was banned from the US Pickle Ball tournaments. Keeping all that aside, grip's great, comfortable bat of the one in my collection and the colors making the design are attractive. I have used this in my initial days to learn the game and it is still my best so far.

Great paddle with pop and control. Would recommend for an intermediate player that wants some pop.

Excellent balanced paddle allows you to have quick hand movements without sacrificing power or control. This is a pretty well balanced paddle. I'd recommend this for small people, women or anyone that's looking for a lightweight paddle to give you the upper hand in NVZ battles. I'd consider this a medium control paddle. A new player who's looking for a ton of control may not want this but intermediate or advanced players who need more speed should give it a try. Also, I've been using it 3 months now and it's holding up very well. **Edit, after having this paddle for 6 months playing 3-4x week for 2 hrs a session, the edge guard has separated from the face of the paddle. Joola's warranty is only for 6 months so I'm out of luck. It literally started coming apart right at the end of the warranty so I can see why they're only giving you 6 months. For a premium priced paddle, I expect more. I have now purchased a Selkirk which has a lifetime warranty and is generally known in the pickleball community as having a great warranty with great customer support. I will not purchase another Joola product until they fix their quality and warranty issue.**

Price is attractive. Power, control and spin are all quite good.
