Breakthrough in solid-state lighting.
This product appears to be an instance of a breakthrough in solid-state lighting. Incandescent lights (and arc lights) were always fabricated as point-sources. I.e. the light from each device always emanated from a small individual omnidirectional "point source" lighting device. At a fundamental level, this was due to the physics phenomena responsible for generating the light. A particular LED is also more-or-less a point source, but, as with RAM chips, wafer fabrication techniques allow the production of literally billions of tiny semiconductor "cells" over and over again. The technique of producing distributed switching devices is how the large high-current solid-state power grid switches were eventually fabricated. Now this "distributed" technique has been applied to fabricating LED lights, AND, I might add, with great results. This product is essentially a screw-in lightbulb, but it has been fabricated with "light paddles" -- each, itself, roughly the size of a small lightbulb -- which fold out up to 90-degrees from the central hub (which is also lighted.) This distributes the potential "point" sources for light over a much larger surface area. It also vastly increases the surface area available for cooling the thousands of individual LED lamps comprising each paddle. So now you can buy a 6000 lumen light source for $4. I'm sure there are more and even more powerful products coming which will use this distributed fabrication technique in the future. But don't miss the chance to LIGHT AN ENTIRE SMALL ROOM WELL, and now, with a single ceiling light of this type for 4 bucks. FOUR BUCKS! This product reportedly produces 7.5x as much light as the average 60 Watt incandescent lightbulb. That is amazing! And I believe it is true after trying the product ( (as it usually IS NOT...) I predict that you are going to see many more, and many more varieties, of distributed solid-state lights in the future. Do not fear trying out one of these devices. It screws into any regular, everyday, 110-volt ("Edison") light socket which has space around it for the "paddles" to fold out. And there is no reason to fear fire from the device. It runs cold. When it comes down to actual basics, as a rule of thumb these LED light sources generally consume only 1/7th of the power to produce the same lighting of the incandescent lightbulb the original fixture was designed to cool. In the 'lectrix" biz, we say that in the final analysis, all electronic devices are heaters. This refers to the principle that, due to conservation of energy, the same energy, in the form of heat, is radiated from the device ("dissipated by the device") as went into it in the first place to power it. So your lighting fixtures are going to remain immensely cooler than they would with a "normal" incandescent bulb. (There is an extremely nonlinear function relating the equilibrium temperature of a device to the amount of energy dissipated within.) Don't miss this opportunity to benefit from a new technology.

Bright and flexible
We bought an on-sale bargain bin pair of similar LED lights not long ago that were comparable to this one, in price and lumens. They each lasted about three weeks in my basement before dying. I figure that if this one lasts two months, I'm ahead of the game, and I'm pretty confident that it will surpass that low bar with ease. The one I bought (I don't know who made it) three years ago for the garage is still running strong, so I have good reason for my confidence. If it doesn't, I'll let you know. This light is bright, illuminates the dark corners of my basement, and can be adjusted to shine the light where it's needed. It is perfect for my use. Frankly, I'm still in awe of an 80W light that illuminates as much as six times what an old 100W incandescent bulb would have a few short years ago. This one is a winner.

Good product
Would have rated a 5 but you get the occasional dud that won’t light. The ones that do work are great, they have a high light output at little cost. I have only 2 places to put a lightbulb in my garage and I put these, brightest area of my house. Great solution when light supply is limited.

Nice and bright
This light works great for the area installed. It was very easy to install and use. The light coverage filled the whole attic. With the three adjustable sides the light covers all the corners. And for the price could not beat it

Awesome Product
The product was easy to install. It twisted into the socket with no problem. It is very bright. I have to double check to make sure the garage door is closed and it is not sunlight. LOL The blades are adjustable which is a plus. I would recommend this product. I plan to purchase another one for the other socket.

If you want to light up a room, closet, garage, etc these lights will do the trick easily! I prefer daylight (5000k) brightness in my lights and found these to be brighter! It’s like looking at the sun! Very happy with these… just don’t look directly at them!

Installed one in our sunroom. Didn't want to move the socket. Installed the second one in a desk lamp to use in my workshop. Impressive amount of light in both situations.

They work fine but do not produce as much light as other ones I have with same rating. So disappointed.
