Ikea Pruta Food Container 601.496.73, Set of 17, Green

We bought this product a few months ago, so these comments are based on quite some usage.These containers are super. First, let's get the slightly negative point out of the way: the smallest sizes are not much use (IMHO) for using in the kitchen. Maybe they'd be OK for a few nuts or bread crumbs ... but they're small. (OTOH I am *very* happy to say that they are very useful in my toolboxes for sorting out my random collections of screws, washers, nuts and bolts, etc etc. Very happy. :-) ) That leaves about 11 or 12 of the other sizes for kitchen use, which is what we bought them for.First, the sizes are very handy - just what's needed for leftovers, prepared meals, etc.Second, they are well designed so they store easily - quite stackable, even the different shapes and sizes.Third the lids are mostly interchangeable. Not completely, obviously (the rectangles don't fit the squares, the big ones don't fit the little boxes, etc) but pretty well: the smaller tall boxes use the lids from the small flat boxes, etc.Next, the lids are effective. My other half has a rigorous test: fill the boxes half full with water, turn upside down and shake. Not a drop leaked out.Last, the boxes are quite light, not too much extra weight to carry around.They seem fine in the microwave and freezer, but we don't have a dishwasher to test that. As for lifetime, only time will tell, but so far, and at the price, we are delighted.(Tiny, tiny word of warning: one or two of the edges were a bit sharp when they were brand new and I got a couple of 'papercuts' from careless handling. After a few weeks the rough edges got worn smooth. Not a big deal)These are good.

The IKEA Pruta Plastic/Food Storage Containers, 17-Piece- arrived next day with Prime and were packaged very well.I was after 2 medium sized food storage containers, but when I came across these on Amazon, I wasted no time in placing my order. 17 Containers for an awesome price- a bargain.I have been using these for almost a year now, so I feel I am able to give a review with some solid use.This set of 17 food storage containers come in a variety of handy sizes, made of quality strong plastic with tight sturdy lids, light in weight and great to store a range of food. Easily fit in the fridge and freezer, microwave safe, simple to wash and stain free (I have stored curries, dough, dried fruits and nuts, soups, etc). Even after a lot of use, these containers seem to have year of life in them.Overall, I am very impressed with these and highly recommend these to anyone after a food storage container. You have 17 for the price of 1, and if you don't need the remainder 16- share them with family/friends- they too will love them. Very handy, excellent quality and a bargain for the price.

First of all, there is no denying that this buy was an absolute bargain at £6.47, i would never have paid the RRP for this set.The green colour lids aren't as lime green in colour as they look in the picture. They are a darker green. Like a forest green. Not a big deal. The lids don't close as easily as other tupperware that i have, i do have to check all four corners once on and then normally find at least one corner hasn't sat down in place. Again not a big deal but thought it worth mentioning.The smallest boxes are VERY small and wouldn't be too useful for food items but would come in handy for my husband to seperate screws/nuts into. Some of the medium-small boxes are a handy size to keep daughter's fruit in for school and for picnics so overall happy with my purchase. Especially for the price i paid '

These tubs are ideal for storing things in cupboards. I have been able to reorganise my baking supplies and now can find what I want when I want it; no more open bags spilling out as I fumble around for the ingredient that I need. They seal well and I can't understand why some folk had problems with that unless the design has been altered. Whatever the reason they are simple to open and close.The various sizes work well too. I used the tall ones for my loose ingredients and the smaller squat ones are ideal for storing leftovers in the fridge and for packed lunches etc.They were an exceptionally good buy and I reckon I will soon be looking for more as I intent to use more to reorganise all of my cupboards!

You get alot for your money.

Sizes, shapes and heights are fantastic - useful for a whole lot of items in the fridge. The items that arrived were correct but mine were all green with green lids, not clear with green lids as the picture shows - so just be aware when buying. The price is good. I like the green so I’m keeping them (see photo).

Great for storage and keeping leftovers in the fridge organised, as there are 4-5 different sizes from very small, great for saving herbs and spices or leftover sauce, to large enough for 1lt soup. One caveat - the lids are not spill-proof so be careful when using with liquid items
