Great idea! Wanted something to keep small items safe and this fit the bill. It's so real I may forget what the title is on my massive bookshelf! The only niggle is the design. The safe is right there as you open the cover, would've been better in the middle with a page velcroed over it so if you did pick it up and scanned through you would think it was a real book. Anyway, it does what it says and I'm pleased.

Can’t wait to give this my son for a Xmas present this looks very realistic and will fool anyone who comes into house looking at the books on my shelf. Probably would store around 3-4 grand.

Honestly, this is a quality product. Nobody that looked at this book sat on a shelf would suspect anything about it, very discreet.The only problem I have with this product is the way it's packaged when it's sent out. Rather than being inside one of amazon's plain brown boxes that could contain anything, this book comes in it's own box, with massive font and photos, explaining exactly what is inside!Now this is not a problem if the items you intend to keep inside the book are to be hidden from visitors to your home, but if you are planning to have a discreet place to store objects without the knowledge of someone you live with (spouse, children, housemates, etc) then you better plan to be be home and answer the door when this arrives, because the box it comes in will tell anyone who sees it EXACTLY where to look for your valuables!I hope the vendor will start sending these out in plain boxes in the future, because as I said, I like the product, but I can't give 5 stars with this oversight in packaging.

A super little book safe

Some reviews says that you can see what is inside. But probably because I ordered more things it came in brown envelope. Looks like real book.

I actually bought two different books of this type, one which was by another company with Les Miserables on it (the quality of that copy didn't look great at all, so that one went back and Peru one stayed and I also put it in a fireproof cover too, just for my favourite jewellery which isnt worth much, but sentimentally precious to me.Buy this one, I am happy with it. As people have mentioned, the 'lock' is just a shutting latch locked, so yes, you could force it open really easily. I bought it just to put stuff in that I might want out of prying eyes, lol..

OK for small things but if you put money in it won't close as the locking mechanism hits the money, not really much good as it's to store money for me.

Really good. It disguises itself perfectly within a bookshelf.If someone took it out to take a look inside, they'd see what it is right away though. It's just a shame the backcover doesn't open too; you are unable to put another cover on the book, to really make it seem like a real book. The space is small, but it's enough for keeping cash and other small valuables hidden.
