Will this heat and froth almond milk?

Yes it can! I regularly heat Almond milk (Unsweetened) and get consistent results. The foam is not as dense as with cow's milk, but it is sufficiently frothy to make my almond milk cappuccinos an enjoyable weekend treat!

Even the minimum amount of milk gives too much froth? Can you reduce the frothing time?

No, the amount of time is not adjustable. I use semi-skimmed milk and the machone never overflows; I suppose you just have to use a little less milk. Or stop the machine manually (though the milk won't be quite as hot).

What is the minimum amount of milk for the appliance to work?

I have found around 200 to 300ml is about right otherwise it boils over

Can this heat and froth enough oat milk for a good cup full, not just heat it?

Not sure, try it and see. Word of warning, my milk frother no longer frothing after four months, it now only warms the mik. Have ordered a new one from Ebay, Web enquiry states that the firm went into insolvency in 2019. Good-luck.
