GILMORE GIRLS S3 (DVD/S) [2006]

Possibly one of my favourite seasons of this program. Like the back of the DVD boxset says, there's more fun, more flames, more flameouts and more Gilmore. It's great. It's more witty, more sarcastic, and although there isn't much action, it's still very engaging and interesting. There's a lot of change, Rory graduates from school, and waits for college acceptance letters, whilst having to chose between Dean or Jess. Lorelai's love life takes some suprising turns, Lane starts to come out of her shell a little as she finally meets Mr. Right, Sookie has a nice suprise and so does the Independence Inn that Lorelai and Sookie work at. You won't be disappointed to watch as the lives of Lorelai, Rory and the others, unravel on the screen in suprising new directions. My daughter and I watch Gilmore Girls together some nights, and we're nothing like Lorelai and Rory but it's always fun to watch. The Boxset was in perfect condition when it arrived, and it has some fun bonus material, including 'Revealing Cast Documentary: All Grown Up: Stories of childhood experiences'. In which members of the cast share some of their childhood memories with the audience, it's nice to get an insight into the actor's lives. Another good extra on the DVD is 'Who wants to fall in love? season's most romantic moments', which is basically just a clip of the seasons most romantic little moments joined together, it's very sweet. It really is a great buy, and if you love the series you won't be disappointed in buying it! I strongly recommend that you do :D

Having raved about the the first 2 seasons of GG (only marking down the 2nd season due to a couple of duff episodes clumsily introducing the character of Jess),I honestly didn't think that it could possibly get any better.Well,season 3 has proved me wrong,i'm delighted to say!The scripts are even sharper,the mother & daughter verbal sparring funnier than ever,and even Jess isn't as annoying!The characters have all settled down and are thriving in their own very different ways.I get the feeling that the actors themselves seem to be having a ball and why wouldn't they with writing of this quality.I've read that some people feel that this was the peak season of GG with season 4 introducing changes that didn't sit well with some fans,but with 22 episodes a season,it's inevitable that something has to give for a story to progress.I can't comment until I view season 4 but I cannot recommend this season highly enogth.In fact,as i've been so complimentary about GG,i'm going to nitpick ever so slightly to redress the balance (and this critisism can be applied to 99% of shows!)and it's this.Lorelai and Rory,for all their good nature and life embracing philosophy,never go out with any guy who is less than boyband material!It would be nice for someone like Lorelai to date someone like,say,Jackson,a decent regular guy.But no,he doesn't have perfect hair or his own yacht so Sookie gets him!(and,may i add,i think Sookie is lovely).So thats my minor pet peeve,but,hey,I'd love to live in Stars Hollow and the place doesn't even have a bar,thats how much i love the Gilmore Girls!

Love the gilmore girls they are warm hearted, interesting, packed full of personality and put on a great show from beginning of series 3 till the end. Classic feud between Den and Jess continues, which leads to the incredibly hard choice for Rory who is torn between them. Dean is her currnet sweet hearted boyfriend of nearly 3 years and Jess is the nephew of Luke, bad boy of the town and close caring, chatty, rebellious friend of Rory who's passion for litearture attracts the bright and beautiful Rory. Eventually Rory and Jess get together and r juts made 4 eachother (THE PERFECT COUPLE)!! They are proof that there is such a thing as man of your dreams when Rory falls in love with him. But will Jess leave town and break Rory's heart??? Find out and buy this brill, cheerful, fast talking, warm drama!! With a fabulous sense of humour.........

This is one of those shows that you don't hear of unless yuou're sat watching E4 during the day - which admittedly most people don't. It definitely deserves more publicitity and recognition for the great show that it is. I found myself rushing back from lectures so not to miss the show and so decided to buy them all on dvd. They were well worth the money - in fact a total bargain for the quality of the show.If you are looking for a new show to get into I would definitely recommend gilmore girls. Make sure you have a lot of free time though because once you start watching it you won't want to stop!

Following on from the first two seasons of Gilmore Girls, this boxset contains all 22 episodes of season three. It sees Rory in her final year graduating from Chilton, looking for a university place and going through the trials of dating Jess (Milo Ventimiglia). Lorelai continues with her troubled love live and finally looks set to open her own hotel. Her parents continue to manipulate their lives even more.If you enjoyed the first two seasons then this builds and improves on those so you will certainly enjoy this. Highly recommended.

The Gilmore Girls return in their third season and are as good as ever. If you're looking at this then you already know how good this series is so I won't tell you again. This box set is very compact but still contains all the season 3 episodes plus some extras including deleted scenes and a cast documentary, but it all fits into a case not much bigger than a normal DVD box. Well worth buying.

This is my all time favorite show. And season 3 still caries on from the success of the other two seasons.

I would recommend all of the seasons to anyone who loves an easy-to-watch programme that leaves you feeling happy, you really grow to know the characters and it is far too easy to get hooked! My friend got me into watching it, and I then passed it onto my aunty and she is now more obsessed than me! Definitely my favourite programme, no doubt about it! :)
