The slightly pre cut squares do not make it easy, in fact the opposite because you outline you drill with a marker and start cutting but when you pull out the peices then other blocks come out as well so had to use a contact adhesive to put the small ones back in. Waste of money in my opinion..

I bought this for an impact driver I bought without a box. I then bought a box without any inserts so bought the foam insert. After working out that the foam is in two halves and the one without the squares sits in the bottom of the box, it was simple to outline the tool on the foam with the squares then cut and push out the required squares and I ended up with an almost perfect shape in which my impact driver sits snug and secure. Very impressed!

My finished padding isn't perfect but it definitely holds my jigsaw in place. Unfortunately, I don't possess a foam cutter, so I resorted to a kitchen knife sharpened several times. Drew around the tool and accessory and started chopping. A bit awkward, but by taking it slowly, it hasn't come out too bad. Used superglue to keep it in place in the box and added a couple of off cuts on the lid to stop any free movement when I carry it. All in all, pretty simple to do, and definitely does the job.
