Rotator cuff surgery recovery. This is almost identical to the cold packs used at my physical therapy (PT) facility. It is almost an inch thick and does a great job of relieving post-therapy pain. It's soft and pliable and a little too heavy for the first few days after surgery, but great during PT. The only disadvantage is the temperature limitation of 12 degrees F. Both my stand-alone and refrigerator freezers need to be set to 0 degrees F. Fortunately, we have a compact frig with a tiny freezer compartment that only goes to 10 degrees F, so I keep it in there when not in use.
