Dechlorinator
This product is bigger than I expected and so much better than I anticipated.Yes it is quite bulky but it does the job perfectly.I would definitely buy another one in a few years when this one expires 👍🏻

Does what it says on the tin.
Evolution Aqua make amazing and trustworthy stuff, everything I've used to date is top notch and this is no exception. I used this to top up my pond after a leaky hose line lost about 1/3 of the content, I connected it up to the tap and ran it until it runs clear, once done I run it slowly to trickle top up the pond.Water quality was tested with chlorine test strips, all was good, Koi are happy. All in all very happy, a simple and effective way to top up a pond, the same would be true of an aquarium. This is a much cheaper option than putting a permanent filter in place. The only downside, is the box says it will treat up to 150,000 litres, however without a water meter, it's impossible to tell how much you have run through it, Given this is the purpose of the device and reasonably high price, a cheap meter thrown in would be nice as you really have no idea how much of that 150K is used or when the unit will be exhausted, my pond is only about 5,000 litres so should last me a long time, however test strips are my only way to asses at this time. All in all another great product from Evolution, highly recommended.

de-chlorinator
This is a tough one to discuss as it is connected in line to a hose pipe in and pipe out to pond. simple, yes?Not quite, you must only run water through it at 4 litres per minute and with fluctuating water pressures this is near impossible to maintain in practice. It should be fitted with a regulator to give 4 litres per minute to ensure the correct water/carbon contact time during manufacture.Secondly these must be handled very gently as they are brittle and any shock will damage them especially when full of water and these are far from cheap and not refillable. Due to the above I will think twice before buying another.

Much easier than chemicals
This is so much less fuss than dosing our pond with Chemicals to get rid of the chlorine when we top it up - and I'm sure it is better for the fish too. The only issue (not an issue really) is that you have to keep a note of how much water has gone through it - although at a lifespan of 22,250 liters it will take a long long time to be used up. I measure the water with a Gardena hose pipe water meter (cheap and works well) and just note down the litres per fill and keep a running total. I wish I had come across this years ago - it feels so much more professional than chucking more chemicals into the water that the fish are 'breathing'.Build quality is very good and it works straight out of the box with the connectors supplied.. 10/10

This item is fantastic if you are a fish keeper.
Great little item. I use it for filling up my big fish tanks and fish pond with. What you pay for this item then having to pay for fish tank conditioner. You end up saving on loads off money over time.I use to have to pay £45 for a 1 litre bottle of conditioner that use to work out very expensive. When adding the bottles up.This item is fantastic if you are a fish keeper.I never had any problems with my fish and never had to use them expensive conditioners.I don't like using Chemicals in my fish tanks as it's not natural for the fish and you have to be very careful when using as you can over do it.You have to think in the wild where they come from. This is by far more natural then any Chemicals. The only Chemicals i use is plant food. That's all. :PThis item know need to mess about with conditioners!!! Plug it in and way you go for fish safe water.Best item I have ever got and totally going to be buying a new one soon. :-)

Poor Test Result After Use Of Approx 5,800 Gallons (Purchase 28/12/2015, Review 2/4/17)
I am an amateur pond keeper for goldfish, koi etc.I have purchased this product 28th Dec 2015.I am testing after use of nearly 5,800 Gallons (measured by Gardena 8188-20 Water Meter available in Amazon, bought together). Meter shows 5,733 Gallons been passed. I have watered garden without the Evolution several times and confident that Evolution has handled less than the amount in meter.Evolution says in product description it treats Chlorine for unto 150,000 LTRs or 32,995.39 (32.9k)Gallons. My use it at 5.8k Gallons.Evolution Filter - Was left in the garden outdoor since the time of use (picture provided).Picture of test result added for strips. Used JBL EasyTest Strips. Picture taken after min 3 minutes to max 6 mins of test.Test Results -Left Strip - Water after Evolution FilterMiddle Strip - Tap water DirectLeft Strip - Tap water dechlorinated by Aqua Dechlolrinator (picture added)The result in picture is clear. There is hardly any difference of tap water (Middle) and Evolution water (Left). There is extremely slight visible difference perhaps!Dechlorinating water through Aqua seems to be better for fish in ponds as it is unlikely one could overdose dechlorinator. On the other hand, risk of the Evolution is that you may think you got 30k Gallons of treatment left, but in fact you would have to keep testing the quality of the water every so often (perhaps every 1k / 2k of use).I have to admit though, I did enjoy the headache free use of it in the beginning. It is a great product for ease of use, everyday change of water in pond or tank. But this must be effective and do the job it is supposed to do. It is the primary function of the filter to keep aqua livestock safe! It fails in that department over time, unfortunately.Does it have time limits on how long it could be used? I haven't kept the original packaging and cannot verify if it had a time restriction written on product docs. I am sure I have read the instructions and should have remembered if there were any such remarks about expiry over time.In case Evolution bothers to contact and explain how to keep the product in effective condition over long time then I shall surely add their effort and if any results in this review.Advice - If your convenience is the deciding factor then perhaps you could buy but expect to change it a lot sooner. You should keep testing it every 1k gallons.Hope this helps!
