Nice Backlit LCD!
I bought this product to try and enhance my knowledge in Arduino. After soldering on some wires and hooking it up, I got it running in about one hour. I used Arduino's LCD library.Pros:- Worked well- Compatible with Arduino- Backlight is brightCons:- Took me a while to figure it out- Not much documentation (relied purely on Arduino's website)Overall it was a fun product to play with and I would recommend it to people. If you want something to put into a more permanent project I would suggest buying one of Adafruit's LCD shields.

Both work fine, it's just a crap shoot on exactly which ...
Purchased 2 of these over a 2 week period. First one was a version 3 and included the header pins. The second one was a version 2 and didn't include the header pins. Both work fine, it's just a crap shoot on exactly which you'll receive from this vendor.

Great Value!
Ausome LCD! Works great. Just make sure to wire it up and configure the pin numbers in the sketch correctly. Use the LCD guide at adafruit as a reference. I couldn't get it working untill I found this guide. Link to guide:https://learn.adafruit.com/character-lcds

GPS DISPLAY
This LCD display is my second purchase. The first purchase, from another vendor, did not work and at the price wasn't worth the pain to return. The LCD display arrived as specified. I wired it to an Ardumio Leonardo that was the interfaced to a GPS sensor. The result is a small GPS reader that is accurate to within 6 feet.I display latitude, longitude and the number of satellites in range of the sensor.

I still don't know if it works
As soon as I opened the box I knew there would be trouble. No documentation came with it, so I had to spend 15 minutes or so on google before I even knew what connected where. This is where the fun begins. My arduino has a built in library to interface with this device. After triple checking my wiring, the most I can do is get bizarre characters to dance over the screen. I'm still not sure I have the correct datasheet.

Looks fine
The product was delivered as expected. Not datasheets included, at the moment I have not checked if works. I need soldering and I still with the anxiety.

Works as expected, you will need your own potentiometer
Works as expected. Mine came with a strip of header pins to solder on but no potentiometer so you will need one for the contrast.I am using it with my Arduino Uno via the LiquidCrystal library and its works great. I simply followed the instructions here https://learn.adafruit.com/character-lcds
