Giving 4 stars as package arrived damaged. These tubs last a long time which is why I buy them.I do think they should be wrapped better for transit. Mine has a massive crack down the side from under the lid to the base. Luckily I have an old tub to transfer this in to.

I’ve been on the hunt for a good hair gel for a while now and I’m really glad I stumbled upon the Eco Style Olive Oil Eco Styler Hair Gel. I’ve got curly hair that tends to get a bit dry, so I really needed something that could define my curls without leaving them crunchy or flaky. This gel has been a game changer for me.First off, I love that it’s alcohol-free. A lot of gels I’ve tried in the past left my hair feeling stripped and dry, but this one keeps my hair feeling hydrated and soft. The olive oil is a nice touch too. After using it, my curls feel bouncy and healthy instead of weighed down. I’ve even noticed less frizz which is a huge win in my book.I usually apply it on damp hair and just scrunch it in. It really helps enhance my natural curl pattern without making it feel stiff or sticky. I can also run my fingers through my curls and they still feel flexible. Plus a little goes a long way so this big bottle is going to last me quite a while.For me, the real test came when I wore my hair out on a particularly humid day. Most gels don’t hold up well in that kind of weather, but I was pleasantly surprised when my curls stayed defined and didn't turn into a frizz ball. It pretty much held its shape throughout the day which is pretty impressive.Overall, I’m really happy with the Eco Style Olive Oil Gel. It gives me the hold I need while keeping my hair feeling healthy and looking great. If you're looking for a budget-friendly option that actually works on curly hair, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a try.

I have 2c/3a hair and have been transitioning using the curly girl method for over 6 months now. The past month I’d lost a lot of definition because I’d been over moisturising my hair and not using any protein until recently (a beginners mistake). My hair is also easily weighed down so I wanted a strong styling product I would only need to use a little of. And on top of that I have a very sensitive dry scalp so Ecostyler had a lot to contend with! However I’m very happy to say I have found my holy grail product. My hair has never looked so defined, my curls are popping all over my head. I love the consistency - it’s thick and you can tell it gives a good hold when you rub it between your fingers but as you spread it over your hands it becomes thin and not sticky. A little goes a long way so whatever amount you usually use half it and then add more if needed as you go. It didn’t create a crunchy cast, there was a bit of a cast but I just scrunched it out as I normally would. It didn’t affect my scalp, most gels do so I was impressed.The one down side is it is not very moisturising. For me this is fine, I don’t need a lot of extra moisture but I do think in future I’ll use a little leave in before applying. Also if your hair doesn’t like protein I imagine this will make it feel like straw. But if it does it’s fantastic plus it’s great value for money I was so shocked by how big the tub was and you barely need to use any.

While it works well initially, I found that the hold doesn't last, especially if you happen to touch or brush your hair after it dries. Simple actions like pulling a jumper over my head would cause the style to lose its hold, which is a significant drawback for a styling product. This lack of durability in the hold is where it falls short compared to other products I've used, like the V05 Firm Hold Styling Gel.In conclusion, the EcoStyle Olive Oil Styling Gel is a decent choice for those looking for a gentle, moisturising hair styling product. It's natural ingredients, and weightless feel are definite pluses. However, if you're seeking a gel that provides a strong, long-lasting hold, especially in scenarios where your hair might be disturbed, this might not be the best option. It's a good product for light styling, but for more demanding hold requirements, you might want to consider other options. 💇‍♂️🌿👌

I have used this gel for years and it never fails. It hold well and keeps my hair soft when slicking it back.
