Wonderful Book
This is an amazing book. It is the start of a thoroughly enjoyable series. It is wonderfully fleshed out with a diverse world and an exciting, dramatic plotline. I love the characters of Hester, Kiko, Reaper and especially Agatha, however I despise Sophie and Tedros. Sophie is such a cliche mean blonde girl and yet Agatha won't STOP FORGIVING HER. Honestly, she is evil and vain and generally awful for 90% of the book and then at the end the whole book hinges on whether she goes all witchy and evil or chooses Agatha (not that she ever does) and also whether Agatha chooses evil vain Sophie or her stupid blonde Ken doll of a prince who (in later books, SPOILER ALERT) is a whiny, pathetic not-even-king-yet-because-he's-a-failure of a guy. Agatha is a great character, she just has a pathetic boyfriend who regularly cheats on her with her equally trashy, mean girl best frenemy. Great book though. :]

Good vs Evil and inbetween...
I enjoyed the story, the outcast is believed to have been put in the wrong place. But it's clear the popular one is not good, with her selfish intentions, etc. which was a bit irritating throughout the book. However, I was very happy with the outcome. Now I need to find out what happened next.

amazing, wow - READ IT NOW
This isn't usually the type of book I would read but I read it with a friend and WOW it has to be one of the best books I have ever read!! I have had to buy the 2 sequels! Some of the story is a bit predictable but there are many twists and turns that keep you guessing and ones you just don't see coming!!I was crying by the end of the book and as soon as I finished I came on amazon to quickly order the following two books.I have read the first sequel and although its not as good as this book its still good, I have yet to start the third book but will be sad to leave this fabulous world, which to me reminds me of Harry potter and Disney;s Descendants, mixed - and if you aren't fans of those, please don't let it put you off! This book is AMAZING!!!!!!

Wonderful Book!
This was the most thrilling fantasy story I have ever read with a clever plotline, relatable and amusing characters and lots of twists and turns along the way. I would recommend this book to ages 11-15 because even though it revolves around fairy tales, there is often romantic parts as well. The action is fast-paced and exciting to read, it keeps me up at night thinking about it once the story deepens and more things happen. The School for Good and Evil may seem like an innocent magical adventure, but really it has a deep meaning and morals to it. Just as a reminder, this book is not for everyone and only people who love fantasy and fairy tales will enjoy it.

Five star, definitely
This book ROCKS! The weird thing is, I ended up loving the villains and hating most of the Good students except Tedros, Kiko, and Agatha (especially Beatrix, get a life, girl.) I started the book hating Tedros as well, but actually, he's not too bad once he realizes looks don't count as much as what's on the inside. Little concerned about the "Pink Princesses" and what bad role models they'd make, but once you get past the age where you stop emulating Disney princesses, the book is awesome. The villains are seriously funny sometimes. Dot's talent (turning things into chocolate) always gives me a giggle. Sheeks' first class is so funny, well, until Hester's demon tattoo turns into a real demon and tries to murder Sophie. Ravan's Circus act made me jump the first time I read it, but now I think it's cool that one villain actually does something terrifying (Hester's demon was beaten by some bats. That's not terrifying.)

A great story!
My daughter is 10 years old and is loving this story. We share reading the book as she can’t manage it on her own due to it having adventurous language. I guess it is more of a teenage fiction book but it doesn’t put me off her reading it. The book is a good challenge for her. I am enjoying the story as much as she is and she has already bought the 2nd book to read once she has completed this one.
