In the Court of the Crimson King documentary film
Not long enough and glossing over the majority of the bands history is an understatement. What is left though, is an OK enough doc.( the Bill Rieflin story and interviews were very moving). It focuses too much on the band at that time to the detriment of the comprehensive history of the band. Still, it's very well done and worth buying especially if you are a hardcore Crim fan. A multitude episode in depth history.

Time to Grow Up
Question: What did you expect from a movie about King Crimson? This was an honest, thoughtful and entertaining film about a band at work. OK, it’s not Mötley Crüe’s “Dirt” which BTW my 16 year old daughter loves (sheesh) but she could love this too (but I don’t think she would). I REALLY enjoyed it and couldn’t square the reviews that basically brushed over the thrust of the movie. As far as I can tell, this is a movie about a“Rock Orchestra” conducted and performed by an amazing lineup arranged by Robert Fripp. And just like any great orchestra, it requires dedication to craft and the eternal muse. The box set is really top notch and you won’t regret the purchase. Hours and hours of music in a superb package with attention to detail like sleeves for the DVD/BlueRay discs and 4 double disc offerings.I saw this lineup at the PNC Arts Centre in New Jersey. Although thoroughly stoned etc, I noticed what was explained in the movie, which was this: As they were playing this supremely dense music that was just oozing awesomeness, I noticed that the atmosphere ITSELF was singing and resonating its own music back at the band and the people there. This phenomenon was explained in the movie if you watch it. I thought I was the only one who caught it!Worth the money just for the first disc.

Excellent document, except...
Excellent documentary, well done, including the Blu-ray picture and 5.1 surround sound. The highlights were interviews with all musicians, Fripp dry English humor and his commentaries as well as beautiful version of the Starless from the final performance. The absolute lows were presenting only one song and having both Blu-ray Disc as well as regular DVD duplicate in one package for a fairly high price. I wouldn't mind paying this price if there was the entire final show presented on the second disc, at least that was my hope, when purchasing this package. I though Robert was a perfectionist - how could he have missed this?

It’s King Crimson, how could it be bad?
Great documentary. The only downside was the entire film revolving around Fripp, but that’s the reality of KC.

Excellent documentary
The only thing that was a problem was that I had to order this twice because the disc stopped and wouldn't go on. We almost had the same problem with the 2nd one, same spot, but it finally started again. The film itself is almost as good as being at a King Crimson show. And getting to peek backstage.

They're back!
The band that will not die. What an awesome album! I love the new lineup. I hope they keep it together for a while longer. King Crimson sounds more full, more complete than they have since the first album. I just hope some new music is written for this band.

Worth the wait!
Not to be missed. Do not expect a history of the band. You can read that via Sid Smith’s book. This is a special type of insight into one of the most creative groups that really is a genre of their own.
