Sturdy Metal Air Valve
These are sturdy metal items, not plastic as is often used. It looks to be galvanised steel, with the visible parts powder coated in white paint; the white is RAL9010 so is white but not a titanium oxide brilliant white. The fitting is designed to wedge tightly into a 100mm duct pipe; it isn't designed to secure to plasterboard - there are others that have screw holes and plywood rings to do that. The centre part adjusts by unscrewing to control air flow, or to help cleaning. The USP is that this is steel so it is not going to break.
