Yes, these binoculars are excellent for comets, galaxies, and star clusters, although, due to the weight and 15x magnification you will need to support them on a stand, wall, or something fixed to lean on, to provide a steady view. Their use on planets is limited, as you really need at least 100x to see any detail. only my opinion but these are awesome, bit heavy but I can see stars , the moon plains close and clear as if they were just in front of me. hope this helps.
