Sportime18 in Hang-A-Hoop

Having researched a good number of basketball hoop "systems" -- most of which consisted of large base mechanisms and tricky mounting requirements -- I was pleasantly surprised with this product. After about 15 minutes of "building" it inside the house, it simply required a nail pounded into the top gutter of my roof above my garage, and then hanging it like a picture! I did however find that I needed some electrical tape around the several (4) brace points since maybe every 3 or 4 shots made the brace rods come out of the holes in the frame. But once those were modified (just wrapped a few revolutions of tape around them), there 's been no problems. I'm no longer a spring chicken (in my 50s now) but just wanted something to use outside for light and fun variation of exercise (I already own NordicTracks, treadmills, weights and the like). Now I get to go out, say, during halftime of a football game and shoot hoops for 20 minutes - you know, run around, shoot, bend over, jump, nothing too heavy. It was a perfect buying decision that easily compliments my exercise regimen. This is certainly not a professional setup -- but if you're goal is similar to mine as stated it absolutely doesn't need to be. I'd recommend this product to anybody that didn't want to employ the time and expense of something "professional" and just wanted to go outside (w/out having to go to a park or school) and swish a few baskets like you did when you were a kid! Oh, I found a good accompaniment was an adult beverage or two. Hey, you're not training for the Olympics here...!

I do not think this was made as good as it could have been. At first I thought it was fine. But as the kids played with it, it would come apart. So I would not buy again.

I like the flexibility and ease of hanging it anywhere.

This item came with small metal pieces that support the net/hoop. They fall out each time the hoop is bumped by the ball. Unless I use Duct Tape to keep the metal supports in, this item does not work as shipped. WAY TOO MUCH $$$ for an item that does not work from the beginning.PLEASE do not advertise an item by photo that is NOT WHAT the customer will receive. I am still waiting to hear how the company will adjust for the poor quality of this item.

I was so excited to purchase these basketball hoops for our school gym ... I work in a small international school located overseas ... unfortunately, when the hoops arrived (we purchased two), they were both BROKEN during shipping!!! Because I didn't realize immediately (I opened the package at the beginning of the new school year, after the 30-day guarantee was up), we were not offered a refund nor replacement. Heartbreaking for our little students! Maybe someone will read this review and offer us some sort of compensation. Please?

I bought this product for my pediatric therapy center last year. Although the ability to move it anywhere is nice, it is made of cheap plastic tubing and falls apart easily. The hoop support braces don't even fit in the predrilled holes on the frame. I am very disappointed in its quality. We use duct tape just to make it usable until I buy something else.

This is a junk product IMO. Waste of money, overpriced, poorly designed and worthless. Buy a bushel basket, cut the bottom out and buy some hooks.
