Depending on how long you have had the product if the item would be realistically deemed to be prematurely worn out or is defective you could go through Amazon themselves to recoup any losses or to reach out to the seller.

Can i make a sponge cake in this machine

Yes! I have made sponges with the whisk attachment. I am told my sponge was beautifully light. IMO this processor is great value.
