Very beautiful, i couldn't put it down
I really needed a love story after reading a whole lot of life stories. The Seven Year slip was a great book. The writing is beautiful, full of vivid descriptions of feelings and settings. I loved the characters and I wanted to be a part of their story. The book takes you through the motions of joy, frustration, sadness and I devoured it within 48 hours. Looking forward to reading more from the author!

A perfect find.
In a reading slump, I bought this on a whim, and so glad I did.Lemon and Iwan journey is beautifully told, a book that makes you smile, makes you feel happy and a little sad, I found myself totally wishing for Lemon to find herself, her true authentic self.A book that your imagination easily paints, I felt like Iโd taken that lift up to the apartment and walked upon the carpet and felt the knots under my feet as did Lemon.

An easy but slightly dull read
Lots of repetition in the book. Probably for effect, but I found it quite cheesy and boring. Good concept. It wasn't quite a 'I can't put it down' kind of book.

A tender romance with really well handled grief.
I didn't really know much about this going into it and I think that's the best way to experience this story.I loved the idea of a magical apartment and its affects on the characters. I also really liked the love interest and some of the scenes had me blushing! (not even the spicy ones!!) The tenderness between the two characters was heartwarming. The story deals with grief and how to live after loss which was handled really well.I flew through the second half and although it wasn't groundbreaking, I still thoroughly enjoyed.

Magic between the pages
I fell in love with the dead romantics when it first came out and I was so eager to read the seven year slip when I read the synopsis, and while this book was slow to start for me the pay off was absolutely incredible. Iโm fully convinced Ashley poston weaves magic through her pages because by the end I was completely spellbound. I not only adore this book (and the dead romantics ) but often find myself months(years in the case of dead romantics)later thinking of clementine, Iwan, Florence and benji they live rent free in my head and Iโm definitely not mad about it. I honestly spent the last 50 pages reading through a flood of tears they would not stop falling I also donโt think Iโve every read from an author that captures grief quite as real as in here it really does make for a magical but heartbreaking read. Beautiful writing and beautiful story one that Iโm certain will stay with me for a very long timeI received a a-arc from the publisher via netgalley thoughts are my own

A great book for anyone who enjoys romance and banter.
Iโm not normally a fan of romance books, however, this one had me crying, giggling, and kicking my feet. Even though I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I did find some bits incredibly obvious. But overall an incredibly enjoyable read.

Magical
Soโฆ for some reason itโs taken me a while to read any of Ashleyโs books despite having both The Dead Romantics and this one downloaded to my kindle for the last year or so. After reading her short story in The Improbable Meet Cute series I decided to start with The Dead Romantics and I was really surprised! I loved it and I really liked Ashleyโs writing. I started The Seven Year Slip soon after. The story follows main character Clementine who is facing some really big life choices after the passing of her aunt. Her aunt has also left her apartment to her. This apartment has a special time slip built in that comes and goes when the occupant seemingly needs it most.Somehow Ashley has done it again with utter escapism as she spins you a world of magical realism that you can imagine very easily. I loved the idea of some parallel time zone being behind a door although I think it would be tempting to try and change the outcome wouldnโt it?Kirsty and I have matching lemons tattooed on our ankles (a long story involving a break up and a band) so I loved the lemon references! ๐

Ashley delivers yet again!
OH MY GOD WHERE TO BEGIN. I finished this in 2 days, it was so captivating, so easy to read and yet so mesmerizing. The story itself is absolutely wonderful, unique and filled with so many lessons and things to know and learn about love and grief - how it's okay to change for the better, to try new things and explore.I simply adored Ashley's first book, The Dead Romantics, and had to get my hands on this one - totally worth it! Romantic AF, funny, bittersweet, it has it all. Easily one of the best books I read this year.
