Disappointing outcome
I really wanted to like this orbital sander and was hoping it would rise to the occasion but, it did not. In fact, it didn’t even wake up. There was very little power even on the highest setting. The dust bag did nothing but make a bigger mess when trying to empty it. The sander is heavy and feels awkward to handle. My advise is, shop around.

Sander works very well
I have two hand-held power sanders: a large belt sander and a smaller square AC-powered cut-sheet sander. I've always thought that a random-orbit sander would be of good use for me, particularly a cordless model since I dislike power cords getting in my way and catching on things when I'm working. This Werktough cordless battery-powered Random Orbit Sander seemed like it was a good candidate to try so I placed my order on Amazon.com. When I first received it I attached the battery and turned the sander on. From the motion of the disk it looked more like an orbital sander than a random-orbit unit as advertised, but upon actually using it to sand a piece of wood I immediately saw that it is DEFINITELY of the random-orbit variety! The tool comes with one 20V battery (I believe it has a 2 Ah capacity) as well as the charger, of course. As always, I was very happy to see that a tool has a "real" charger, and not just a wall wart that connects to the battery or tool with a barrel connector. An instruction manual is included as well, along with a starter kit of assortment of sanding disks (2 each of 60, 80, and 120 grit). The sanding disks attach to the sander by the hook and loop method so they grip tight when in use yet are easily removable and re-attachable. The disks have pre-punched holes in them that correspond to the holes in the sander for sawdust extraction. The kit also includes a fabric dust-catcher that attaches to the dust port on the sander, and contains a spring to give the collector form. It seems to work well in my testing, but I prefer to attach a small shop vac for really keeping the work area clean and as dust-free as possible. The sander has a speed-control dial. In my first test usage, which consisted in sanding a piece of fairly rough pine board, I used a 120-grit disk at the lowest speed. It worked very well in smoothing out the wood without leaving scratches or swirl marks that I could see. Of course, in real use I would have started with the 80 or even 60 grit disks and then worked up to higher grits, but I just wanted a quick test. The tool really did perform great and was easy to use. I must confess that I first tried to add some down-pressure on the tool but it kept fighting me and wouldn't stay flat. This was, after all, my first use of a random-orbit sander. But then I lightened up considerably and let the tool do the work, and after that it was smooth sailing all the way.The tool uses 125mm sanding disks (which translates to standard 5" for those of us who use the imperial measurement system). It appears that the 5" hook and loop disks with an 8-hole dust extraction pattern is a fairly standard item, so buying the sanding disks shouldn't be a problem at all.I really did not find any fault in the sander in the brief time I used it. It looks like this will serve me well.

Good little sander. Did the job, battery charges quickly
Overall: Works fine, did the job. In my case I’d be fine with a corded sander. This orbital sander is just as advertised. Ordered it to restore an old cutting board, it came out great.Pros:– Comes with sanding disks– Uses standard 5” hook and loop sanding discs– Quick charge battery, (1 hour to full charge)–Cons:– Battery needed charging in the middle of the job– Dust bag came off while using, (fixed with a wrap of masking tape, green in the pic)Other: When the battery hits a certain level, the sander stops. I kept forgetting to turn it off, and when I snapped the freshly charged battery in and the sander started up. Nearly jumped out of my skin the first time. Just felt stupid the second time.Would recommend buying a second battery for this sander if you plan on doing more than quick jobs. As I write this, it looks like additional batteries are unavailable for werktough tools.

Excellent product that sanded well and stayed powered for several hours
The media could not be loaded. I'm very happy with this cordless orbital sander, and here is why.I like that it includes sandpaper that velcros right onto the sander. It feels durable and easy to hold too.I used this sander to smooth out some rough edges on a nativity I built, and it worked great.Overall this is an excellent product that sanded well and stayed powered for several hours on one charge. Therefore I rate this product five out of five stars.

Works well for my weekend projects
This WERKTOUGH SA002 20v Cordless Random Orbital Sander works well for my weekend projects. I've been using it for a couple of months now and have not had any issues. It charges as expected. It holds the paper well. It is easy to clean and store.Overall, I am pleasantly surprised at this product. I was a little skeptical, but it is working out very well for what I needed. Between the non-powered sanders and this cordless sander, I am ready to let go of the corded sander that I've been using as the convenience of cordless can't be beat.
