9 Heads: A Guide to Drawing Fashion (4th Edition) 4th Edition

SERIOUSLY? This book is absolutely incredible. Everything you can possibly need as a resource for helpful tips and instructions on fashion illustration are in this book. EVERYTHING! I even found step-by-step instructions, in detail, on the 9 head proportions for male croquis. This is the first time I have been able to find a book that demonstrates this. Every finish, every fabric type, every type and style of of garments, garment pieces, outerwear, under garments - it's all there with detailed instructions. I love this book and it was worth every penny. If you are a design student, think of this as an investment in your career. You'll keep it for the rest of your life!

This book is the book for fashion illustration! Don’t waste money on the others! This has all u need! Period

WOW! A must have!!! Don`t even think twice if you`re willing to become a fashion illustrator. Nancy is so good on writing and drawing. Just buy it! And if the price is to salty for you, look for an used one. Who cares? I bought Colors for Modern Fashion in the actegory ¬very good¬ and I don`t regret. It actually looks like new, with a tiny little scratch in the cover`s top corner. Again, my advice is: don`t think twice, nor buy a bunch of other ones that are cheaper because you will need a couple or more to have all the content that 9heads has.

At first the index didn't make sense to me, but once I figured it out, it is pretty easy to navigate the book. I love the graphics/drawings in it, and absolutely love how it's clutter-free, everything has it's own spot. The pictures are well organized. There's one downside though: it's heavy to haul around. But having EVERYTHING in it makes up the part X)

I just received this in the mail, and I am SO glad I've held out on getting this book!! The 4th edition is so much better than the 3rd!! Not only does it add instructions and step by steps for PhotoShop renderings, it includes a CD that has a video of the author herself doing a step by step of a basic croquis. The book is very daunting at over 500 pages, but the video on the disc gets directly into it and makes it easier to move forward in the book. It throws a lot of information at you at once. LOVE IT though. So glad I have it!

Great illustrations and guides. Easy to understand.

I've received the book in a good shape. It's such an amazing edition!But unfortunately my CD didn't come with the book, as it was taken from one of the pages. I had left only the tape that glued it together. So I wrote to Amazon asking for their help and now, one week from that day, I've just received my new copy!It's so beautiful, and the content of the CD is really nice.Can't wait to learn from the chapters!:)

Great resource for fashion drawing.

I bought this book for a gift for my daughter who is studying fashion. After reading a few reviews I was a little sceptical ordering this book from here, but! it turned out to be great! arrived in excellent condition and received the latest edition.The book Wow! you will not be disappointed, I am so pleased I chose this book. The author really covers everything and in great detail.

La información del libro es excelente y muy útil. no pude ahondar mas ya que tengo que devolverlo debido a que no me lo enviaron completo ( Mucho cuidado el libro debe traer un DVD). También tengo que decir que el libro venía muy sucio y manchado (lo pude limpiar y se le quito la mayoría) también estaba sin ninguna protección en la caja y se maltrato durante su envío, ligeramente pero se nota. y como comente antes el libro debe traer un disco el cual nunca llego, por esta razón doy una estrella, sin embargo el libro en si es muy bueno y lo recomiendo.
