I’m LOVE this man so much. He is such a success story with a great sense of humour. A modern day miracle worker and I’m sure thrilled I bought his book. Only wish I could have had it signed in person

I bought this book a month or so ago but have only just got around to reading it. It's not that big a book but that makes no difference. This was probably my favourite read of 2018 and its one of those books that I wished I had read many years ago when I was a young lad finding my way in this world. The advice Dr Carson gives are gems and the book is full of inspirations.

While on holiday to the US, I happened to get hold of this book in one of the Christian stores. I can't stop reading this inspiring life story of Dr. Ben Carson. I salute Dr. Carson's mother, for the courage she showed to the young Carson's and how she motivated them become successful despite being poor. Her fear of the Lord and taking every opportunity special is so moving. May her example give inspiration also to those who will be reading this book in the future.

I don't consider this book a work of literary genius. It isn't a novel, but a simply-told account of an inspiring and compelling life story, and WELL worth a read. Read as a child and bought again to reread. Very glad I did.

One of the most inspirational, motivating and thought provoking books I've read. Dr Ben Carson's life is a testament to how sheer determination, focus and (in his case) a supportive mother, can help you to achieve the pinnacle of your career and profession. Not only his mother's but maybe more importantly his own strong faith in God, as well as a supportive wife were some of the major driving forces behind his remarkable journey.

What an amazing story, so inspiring. Well worth a trad I couldn't put it down. This guy is so humble and gives most of the credit for his success to God and others who have influenced him.A fantastic testimony about winning through against all odds.

Very few people openly speak about their adversity, the role of their faith and the role of personal application and hardwork in one book to such amazing effect. I bought this book initially for myself but gave it away to a young person who was a bit directionless, he was totally inspired and went on to read 3 other books by Ben Carson. i would buy hundreds more and give them to the youth in our streets who are supposedly "looking for a role model".
