I have found an adapter for usb-c to usb 3.0, would this allow me to use this docking station on my current laptop, including all dock functions?

One feature is that the usb-c will actually power and charge the notebook as well, no need to connect the laptop power cord. This feature won't work using an adaptor to 3.0. As far as the other features of the dock, probably only the laptop manufacturer would know. I think a safer bet would be to use a docking station designed for 3.0, since you are not going to get the power/charge feature anyway.

Does this work with dell latitude 7480?

Dont know the specs/ports to the latitude 7480. I bought this for the new xps 13/15 models. The dock charges and displays through one usb-c/thunder bolt cable. It is not interchangable. Does your latitube have a usb c port?
