Heavy duty and well made
Purchased this as I needed to do the ball joints in my VW Transporter. The opening was little small so I just cut a piece out each side with a grinder and did the job. I doubt this modification would be necessary for a car.

Works well if right size
I bought this to remove a 2015 Golf TDI S front drivers side ball joint. The jaw of the tool was a few millimetres too narrow, I had to grind it down on the inside in order to just fit it around the ball joint and then it worked after roughly 6 blows with a hammer. So it works if it fits! If it doesn’t stay put after a few blows of a hammer then you know it doesn’t fit.
