I am looking for a short ceiling fan and cant understand how the dimensions work and which one is the drop, could you advise me please

The drop is 14 inches from ceiling to the bottom edge of the light fitting, and from blade tip to opposite blade tip is 42 inches. Hope that helps.

Is it possible to have this fan without the lights?

Fitted one of these the other day. Have any other owners found that the fan motor makes a buzzing noise when on the highest speed?

It's usually because you haven't screwed the glass lightshades down properly. They make a buzzing sound if you don't get them just right.
