Shaving brush, made of rose wood

I really like it. Great brush! The wood feels genuine and the bristles are excellent. Not sure how it'll hold up since I got it so recently, but I love the weight and would definitely recommend it because it feels luxurious and not plastic (I hate plastics because brushes can't be recycled).

The lack of the 5th star is only because I prefer a larger brush. Other than that it a great brush. Holds plenty of lather, and is amazingly soft straight out of box. Except for the months it doesn't get above freezing I use it 3 to 4 times a week, and it is wearing great

Nice brush for a reasonable price. The bristles are soft and there is no animal smell. The bristle head is nicely shaped and holds a good amount of moisture to get a decent lather going. In my opinion, the bristle head could have been made much better had it been fuller/thicker with a more generous amount of hair. (Thus, the reason for deducting a star.) The rosewood handle is quite nice. There's a beautiful wood grain appearance showing throughout. The finish is smooth and without blemish. There appears to be some sort of protective sealant or coating on the handle. You might notice the brush to be light weight if you're accustom to a resin or metal handle. But, that's not an objectionable feature for me. Overall, I'm a happy camper. Now, let's see if it holds up over time.Update: Regrettably, the brush has developed an objectionable animal-like smell. Have tried to address the problem with a good baking soda soak with minimum success. Further, the bristle head is loosing hair and it was not terribly thick to begin with. The handle remains nice. Deducted one more star.

I was disappointed with the feel of the bristles and returned this brush. I found the the bristles to be scratchy and abrasive compared to my last brush that I lost. This also results in the lather taking longer to create with this brush. Overall not as good as a softer brush. My guess is that synthetic bristles are softer and lather more easily than this brush.

I used this brush many times, but it can’t make a decent lather.I don’t recommend it.
