Yes it should fit; The Butler Creek shotgun plug fits most 12, 16 and 20 gauge pump and automatic shotguns chambered for 2 1/2", 2 3/4" or 3" shells.

Q: How long is the item? It said 10inch on description but people said 6.5inch?

It is 6.5". It can be sawed to length if too long. It worked in my Franchi 12ga semi limiting the mag capacity to two 2.75" shells. The package said it is good for 3" also.

Q: Will it fit a stoger M3000?

Yes it will, it goes inside your magazine tube. You may need to trim it down to allow more shells to fit.
