With so many laptops now not having a built in ethernet port, or when needing an extra monitor connection or three, this dock fits the bill. You will need to download the SiliconMotion video driver, but that's easy. The video ports don't work on older MacBooks, but I have found no problems on any modern PC.As already mentioned in these reviews, it does get warm, but I do not think it will start any fires.When home I do prefer my Targus 182, but this works well and it's easy to tote.

This POS docking station will constantly cut out on you, if you move the connecting wire in the slightest way. This will require you to restart everything. Then, one day it will fatally fail at complete random, giving you the passive "USB Device Not Connected" error message, when a clean reinstallation solves nothing. DO NOT waste your time or money on this piece of garbage. I want a refund, as well as my time back.

I’ve been a long time Mac-hater as the lack of accessibility has made it pretty much (in my eyes) unusable. The fact there is no hdmi, Ethernet, or regular USB on a device in 2022 is crazy to me. Anyways, I was very happy thatthis device changed that. 4 USB ports, hdmi, Ethernet, DVI (I don’t particularly understand this one but maybe for old projector and stuff), and some other ports like USB c (again). Overall though, solid product with good usability. 10/10

Because of my work nature I have to use 3 different monitors with my laptop so I needed on good quality dock.My Samsung monitor has 3 different types of cables which I can utilize to split the 48" screen and this dock provides 9 different connection options with the best connection quality. The ethernet connection is stable while I use the dock pin connection as I was afraid if it will be hindered but this product has quality to handle the good quality connections.

I recently purchased this. It has been barely 3 days. I noticed that the device gets hot when I connect it to my pc and monitors.Is this something anyone else has experienced?Thank you.

It gets really hot, Power Pass-Through doesn’t works, lost connection constantly and is expensive. Don’t waste your money in this

I travel quite a bit and this dock has come in handy — never have to work about various dongles and adapters — ports are all included. I hooked up 2 x 24” Monitors, Ethernet and 4 other peripherals to this docking station and it worked like a champ! Hopefully it stands the test of time.

Surface is made of aluminum, looks pretty cool. There are two HDMIs, one USB-C charging port on one long side, and two USB 3.0 + two usb 2.0 ports on the other long side. VGA and RG45 port are at short side. It can be used to extend either screen output or USB ports, it also brings one more ethernet adapter for special use case(I plan to connect it to my old PC, having it works as a NAT storage :D). No driver program needed(at least for my Apple MacOS).
