When we new we had to saw it it was fine

Not only does this slice tomatoes nicely (with the occasional thicker slice due to fairly thin blades) but it is also really good at slicing through your thumb several times with one slip!

Because the blades aren't sufficiently rigid, they bend when slicing, which means that you get some very thick slices and some very thin ones. Additional, the backs of the blades (not the serrated cutting side) were very sharp and cut my fingers when I pressed down while slicing, so I had to file the sharp edges down. I would not buy this model again.

I call it a tomato-slicer , my last one gave up after 40+ years, I am not sure this one is quite the same standard, but am very happy to have a new one, as they are very useful.

I have been looking for one of these for years. My mum had one. Only difference was the handle was straight not angled. So pleased to have i. Tomatoes evenly sliced for sandwiches and salads instead of wedge shape.really pleased with my purchase.

Quite good but be careful of your fingers when starting off as it is sharp can take a little getting use to great seller would use them again.
