Ruffwear Web Master Multi-Use Dog Harness, Rugged Environments, Working Dogs, Medium Breeds, Adjustable Fit, Size: Medium (69-81 cm), Red Currant

I have a 6month old Border Collie girl, who I had been walking on another make of harness (also an excellent make) and, although she should not be able to back out of the harness, I was not convinced, as she can be quite nervous of new people and dogs (despite being socialised from a young puppy) and had come close to reversing out of it a couple of times. I already had a Ruffwear Webmaster Harness in Small, that I had used for one of my other dogs, so I tried it on her and it fitted perfectly (along with the Brush Guard Belly Protector). I have been using the Ruffwear Harness for the last couple of weeks now, and she seems much calmer than she was on walks (I think due to the more 'hugging' fit of the harness) and has not tried to back out of it once. She is still nervous when she meets people and dogs and is 'selective' of who she allows to say 'hello' to her and quite often will just sniff around or sit next to me while we are talking, but hopefully with time she will overcome this, as she is a really friendly girl once she knows you. The harness is very secure and obviously helps her to feel more secure while wearing it. I am lucky that she is not scared of traffic and does not try to 'herd' cars, bikes, etc, so at least I don't have to worry about that. She is a farm collie, from working parents and is very responsive and willing to learn, so hopefully with the help of the Ruffwear Harness, she will continue to improve and learn to trust strangers a little more (although I don't always think it is a bad thing to be cautious, as these days you hear more and more about dog thefts !) I love the Ruffwear Harness and Brush Guard for my Collie and I had also used one previously for my elderly Tripawd Boxer boy, so I can highly recommend them for both comfort and security, for both the dog and the owner's comfort that their dog will not be able to escape from it, which in turn helps to calm the dog. Highly recommended !

Nice and sturdy - very secure for the dog. Only drawback with Ruffwear "Webmaster" harness is that it's not washable and they do tend to get very dirty with use. The other fleece harnesses that I use by CosyDogs are fully washable but not as sturdy.

Absolutely love ruffwear! The quality of that brand is incredible. I know it’s pricey but I believe it’s totally worth it. We use this harness everyday (twice a day). We have been using it for months now. There’s zero signs of wear and tear and it looks brand new (when washed :P). It’s holds the dogs safely and seems to be real comfortable for them. The reflective parts work well at night, often bits like that come off harnesses but not this one! There a little bit at the end that’s just perfect to attach night light as well, so my dogs are super visible when we walk them at night.One of the best parts in this harnes is the handle. We have a blind dog that often gets himself in trouble rolling down hills, falling into rivers or bushes, it’s so handy to be able to pick him up and move back to the path. We constantly do it and the harness holds all his weight, incredible!This harness doesn’t come lose and there’s no way the dog can wriggle out of it, one of our dogs is absolute master in getting out of the car harness even though it’s sleepy pod and it should be impossible, however he has no chance with this harness.I would definitely recommend it, 100%. It is pricey but it will last you a lifetime.Update after 2years: we use this harness all the time, sometimes full days trips, holidays, climbing trips, etc. There’s zero damage to those harnesses, barely any wear visible. Absolutely worth the money. We will be buying a 3rd one for our new dog too.

Love the sturdiness of this harness and the position of the rear bind means my very wilful escape artist cannot even start to get out of it! I like the handles as well, good to have those options. Would like to have a. Clip on the front as well for choices but otherwise it is worth the money just for my peace of mind.

This is a good sturdy harness, ideal for my tripaw dog as it has a little handle if he needs any help.

The harness itself is fine I always buy Ruffwear but the colour isn’t quite like the colour advertised and it looks shabby and dirty really quickly .. I so wish I’d chosen another colour as now have two in this colour which I don’t like at all

Excellent harness for hiking and general use. Bought for my tall, broad shouldered collie (which it's extremely difficult/impossible to get a well fitting harness for). Adjustable in every dimension for shoulders, chest and waist for a perfect fit. Really great for difficult hikes where lifting over stiles or helping up/down difficult bouldering sections is needed. For a dog who hates harnesses and coats of any kind he loves it and seems incredibly comfortable. Easy to clean and dries quickly. Expensive but more than worth the price!

This harness seems okay. I can't really comment on it's durability yet. I bought it because my panicked JRT slipped his previous harness (a Julius K9 no less!). He's a slipperer - I have to use harnesses because he'll slip his collar too. Fits well, he's getting used to the step through on the chest strap. It does undo at the chest, obviously, but only for one side. He initially thought of it as a treat dispenser while I adjusted it to fit and was quite comfortable wearing it inside the house. Even to the point of having a snooooze after all those treats. I feel the solidity of the harness may also act like a thundershirt for him. He's thoroughly unimpressed by my ability to now pick him up in it. No obvious signs of discomfort when I do that though. Just not like. I'd consider this safe to use, am very interested to see him attempt an escape from this, but, if you are active, do check regularly for signs of wear and tear.

I've purchased at least 4 harnesses for my one-year-old pup, but the search for one that would fit him better and keep him safe after almost losing him after his collar broke during a recent walk made the need even more critical. When I researched harnesses, this one kept popping up as not only the most popular but the testimonies I read about other pet-parents having the same concerns for the same reason made me decide to try it. I'm happy to say not only does it fit perfectly, but my dog doesn't seem to mind wearing it. It has a third strap under his belly, which is quite unique and does make the harness stay put as he's walking and going potty. He's a 26-pound poodle mix with a 20-inch chest, so I bought him an XS which fit perfectly without any adjustments. So far, the peace of mind I have that we can walk safely after that terrifying experience is worth every penny I paid. The color I bought is Red and it's beautiful.

Siempre batallé en encontrar un arnés que se ajustara bien a mi perro que tiene el pecho muy grande y el cuello muy delgado, todos los arneses le quedaban mal, al agacharse a olfatear, se le iban para adelante, con este no hay ese problema, se ajusta perfecto, al ser largo, se sujeta bien en los puntos claves, la posibilidad de alargar el puente del pecho lo hace más anatómico. Tenía mis dudas porque he comprado muchos arneses caros y pensé que este sería otra decepción, pero NO! Lo súper recomiendo.

I bought this after seeing another dog shaped like mine who was wearing one. The dog had a deep chest with a sharp tuck-up like my dog. My dog had slipped her previous harness several times just backing up when startled, and I was worried she would get loose and get hurt. This harness is perfect for her because there are two adjustable clasps to secure the harness--one to accommodate the deep chest and the other at the tiny part of their waist. This keeps the harness from sliding forward. There is also a protective component that keeps you from pinching their skin when closing the clasps. She has never slipped this harness. She also has a tiny head, so even regular collars tend to slip off. I have used this harness for years and it is in great shape--very durable. That being said, this harness was not as good for my lab whose belly and chest are a straight line. Also, it fastened a little too close to his wee wee (yes, I said wee wee), and he frequently peed on it. I used it anyway for 2 years and just switched him to a head collar.
