Very impressed for the price and quality
Found these to be simple to erect, nice strong shelving, looks impressive when fitted, had to bend and twist a little on construction to fit together but it’s thin steel so no big issue. Looked at destruction book followed destructions for a short time and erected two complete units in around an hour found best way was to erect bottom half first fitted three shelves then install top half instead of struggling with 6ft of steel easier to do in two sections. Drilled a couple of small holes in the back upright and screwed to the wall they are solid as a rock. Shelving MDF thinner than expected but when the two cross member supports are in they become very strong shelves. I’m very pleased with these units for the money they are good quality didn’t pay a fortune for them so wasn’t expecting 1/4 inch bolt together steel. Although they seem flimsy on arrival once fitted together they become very strong and sturdy the amount of stuff I’ve put on these two units is phenomenal and there holding up very impressively, I’ll definitely buy more of these when needed.

Excellent purchase
Good price. Very sturdy. Prompt Delivery. No missing pieces. Easy to follow instructions.Only one minor criticism. Packaging arrived slightly damaged. Fortunately only very slight damage to corner of shelves. Did not impact on anything.

Good enough and fit for purpose.
Let me start by saying I get so frustrated when people complain about not receiving a £150 worth of shelving when they have paid £35. For it's money it's good value.Instructions where clear, product arrived well packaged and on time. There are only a few different parts and a quick read of the instructions are enough to get going. Took me around 45 minutes to build and I was helped for a few minutes near the start to hold parts until the structure was self supporting - this happens quite quickly. It could be done easy enough by yourself if you had to. I will say I am a fairly advanced DIY'er, but any competent person would not struggle with this, especially if you heed a few tips.Everything pushes into slots and are self explanatory. A rubber mallet or any type of persuader will help, although a metal instrument will mark the metal. Now - the little tabs that are pushed into the slots to lock are pliable and need to be. At times you need to push or pull them into the right angle (very simple to do) before engaging in the slot. I would say around 80% needed no adjustments, but if they do all the metal is easily adjusted to fit. It's very easy when persuading/tapping/pushing the tab into place for them to push out the back end (wrong end). They are suppose to stay within the inside of the uprights. If they want to go out as opposed to in, just persuade them a little with a screwdriver as your tapping them home. The plastic feet (also 4 to finish the top uprights) are easily split and do not go into place very easy - you may need to manipulate the uprights for them to fit - not a big deal really - just fiddly.Lastly, I read about the shelf support inserts and wondered what the issue was in most of the feedback. The instructions do state to bend the tabs back after inserting to stop the supports falling out, but it may not be clear as to what this means. I will try and explain. At each end of the support is a thin metal tab. It needs to be moved 90 degrees to insert them in their housing. Once inserted they need to bend a further 90 degrees to lock the support in place. The moving is in the SAME direction - not back on themselves (in fact this is not possible so it should be obvious). You are in effect bending the tab from flat to a U shape upon completion. Once bent 90 degrees and inserted in their housing you will need a flat metal instrument like a screwdriver/small scraper etc to get behind the tab so you can get it bent another 90 degrees. All in all for the money there is no complaints it's steady and stable enough (I doubt I will even need to fix to the wall) and will hold good just about anything you wish to put on it (unless you expect to throw an engine on it) Stating it is heavy duty is typical market spiel as everyone does it now. Take it with a pinch of salt. Proper heavy duty shelving costs hundreds of pounds so no one should be expecting this quality for a fraction of the cost. There good enough for most householders and is good value for money

Does the job perfectly
I purchased this for my garage and it does its job perfectly. It was incredibly easy to assemble, it’s very sturdy, good size with plenty of storage space and looks pretty good. I would highly recommend this product for a garage or shed etc

Great shelving for the Garage
Arrived well packaged. The package was smaller than I expected as the upright sections are in two Half's. Easy to store until I had time to put them up.I put these up with the assistance of my wife. It's easier with two people as things are wobbly until you get all the pieces together. We didn't argue too much which means it wasn't that complicated.Instructions were simple. I used a rubber mallet, flat head screwdriver and pliers. Just make sure the metal tabs are going in the correct holes and feeding through correctly. The screwdriver and pliers were used to bend the metal tabs on the shelf supports, there are two under each shelf.I noticed some other people commenting that the MDF sheet had gone mouldy on theirs. I went on the G Rack website and read that if the shelves are to be in a damp environment then they recommend painting or protecting with oil based product. Mine isn't going to be, however I coated all my MDF sheets with decking oil. It soaked in lovely and dried quickly. My boards in the picture are therefore darker than the original MDF sheets.I'm very pleased with the look of the shelves and their strength once fully constructed. The wood is drying so I will be filling them up tomorrow.10.8.21 update. I have loaded them up. Very impressed with how sturdy they are. I have ordered the 90cm wide one to put where I have a little metal shelf at far end.

Great low cost shelving solution
I purchased two of these units, one each width. I installed these in a composite self assembly shed purchased from Amazon., which required me to cut down the vertical components to fit. This was easy to do with my grinder. At first the unit seemed flimsy during assembly but once finished it is quite sturdy. The instructions are quite good, but you need to pay close attention. It does not require 2 people to assembke if you are careful. If you are fitting tgese in a smsll space, like my shed, you have to assemble the units inside, otherwise they will not fit through the entrance. This requires some acrobatics and reverse assembly, but completed it to my satisfaction, as an engineer
