6.1 6.4 V8 | Transmission Fluid Dipstick Tool | for: Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep | W/Instructions

Better than nothing. Fit my 06 Charger SRT8 just fine. Ordering another for one identical I just brought. Neighbor ordered one also for 08 Challenger SRT8.Do conductor plate and connector while open for filter/gasket change cause they go out. Pan with a drain plug is nice also.150k is good idea for torque converter and upgraded/updated valve body as that is when I'm told they tend to go out and fixes issues with fluid flow, fluid pressure and any flare ups shifting (per shift kit instructions AKA fixes known issues).

The Dodge Charger came with a factory plug and no dipstick to check the ATF while on a trip or just periodically checking . I have the Mercedes factory tool at work but it’s way longer and just for service work . This dipstick installs in place of the factory locked plug … it twist locks into the factory dipstick / filler tube and works perfectly with a o-ring seal . Very happy with this new availability. I need to purchase a few for inventory at my auto repair shop for future customers to buy .

Since my car didn't come with one I don't have any point of reference to how accurate it is, however, it seems to be reading properly for my 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 6.4L. Make sure your on flat surface and vehicle is running and if the vehicle is hot or cold like you just started it. To be accurate you need to know the temp of your transmission when checking it. Every vehicle is different so look it up (proper fluid level at specific temp). Other then that you will just get an approximate reading.

Item is too short for 6.1 L and SRT jeep may work perfectly on other models though did fit well. Just not long enough to get a measurement at any temperature.

Fits right on. Should have this dipstick on at all times as there is a problem with water / moister mixing with transmission fluid and causing weird behavior with shifting and so forth.

I like that the dipstick looks like it could be a stock item, and that it seems to fit well. What I don't like about it is that with the dark tip and lack of millimeter increment marks it's hard to read. It becomes really hard to read accurately once fluid is on it. What I mean is that I had a difficult time clearly identifying where the bulk of fluid on the dipstick stopped at. And since this transmission is so finicky on fluid levels, you really need to know precisely.

When I received this tranny dipstick I was anxious to try it on my 2006 Dodge Charger SRT8. Unfortunately, the top of the dipstick was a little too large for the tranny filler tube. I had to adjust the top with some sandpaper to get it to fit properly. Other than that, I'm pleased with the product.

Perfect fit & finish. It’s a shame that this wasn’t equipped from the factory. 10/10
