Weleda Arnica Bumps & Bruises Skin Salve, 25 g

great little tube and i keep it handy in my training bag. it works and if i see any bruising after my training sessions i put it on and it works miracles. very effective and would definitely recommend.

I sprained my foot terribly while out for a walk last night. I immediately used the Weleda Arnica for bumps and bruises. I could not walk on my foot at all and expected the bruise to be horrendous by the following morning. On waking, the bruise wasn’t too bad (photo) but still thought I needed to go to A and E. I’ve been using the cream all day and taking Ibuprofen and Paracetamol. By late afternoon the bruise is contained and I can do some light walking with one crutch. No need to go to A and E. Absolutely wonderful product.

i was looking for something similar to deep heat, to relive aches and pains in my knees after being on my feet for a long time. deep heat only reduced the pain for a while.... which is good, but i was looking for something more "long term" and more "medical".sadly this product is not for me. and does little to relive aching joints.but i have used it previously for bumps, sprains, bruises etc and it is good for that

Weleda are a great, natural health UK company who produce BRILLIANT herb & plant based holistic "medicines". After a very bad (staircase) fall my GP recommended Arnica & when I found Weleda brand Arnica it was a total no brain-er sale. Applied immediately to my extensive lower spine bruising and the thick, gloopy gel spread easily & felt instantly soothing. Only a couple of days into using it and my bruising had started to "break up" from massive solid black/purple stripes into more speckle-dy, lighter patches. It was also so much easier to move, touch the area and sit down (ahem!). I was told as a child you need to "bring out" bruising and this arnica definitely felt like it had reduced internal inflammation, soothed my jiggled-about joints as well as reducing the discolouration. You know it's natural as there is no chemical smell. Brilliant product from a great company. I highly recommend & will keep some in the medicine cupboard from now on. Buy this, it really helps heal bumps.

Helps heal bruises a whole lot quicker

The original Weleda Arnica Ointment is a wonderful remedy that has been available for decades. It is based on a beeswax cream with the arnica extracts prepared on very traditional natural medicine principles and produced by Weleda a company highly experienced in the preparation and production of homoeopathic and anthroposophical medicines.This Bumps and Bruises Skin Salve is strangely lacking in the qualities of the original remedy and it's not clear why the change has occurred. I'm not really qualified to comment on the efficacy of this new cream; hopefully the company will undertake efficacy research and share this with us in due course. The change may be regulatory (there have been many preparations in recent years that have not meet with new regulatory requirements and have had to be withdrawn) but having asked the company in an email and having received no answer from customer services it's not at all clear.Shame, I worked for an alternative therapy clinic for more than ten years and dealt frequently with Weleda, both in the UK and Germany and greatly value their contribution to natural medicine. Perhaps they'll find a way to re-introduce the original remedy if we keep asking.
