Can you put tobacco directly into pouch?

Well I bought it as a gift had no feedback. But I thought that was the purpose of a tobacco pouch so that you can keep your tobacco in it. The description says that its rubber lined to help keep tobacco fresh and moist. Something along those lines. So one would assume so. Hope this answers your question.
