Tablet is Fast and Looks Great but No Magnetic Compass
Although this is the most expensive Android Tablet that I have bought I believe it includes a lot of important features for the money. It uses the well-known Octal-Core Snapdragon Processor running at 2.0 GHz, 4.0 GB DDR3 of SDRAM and 64 GB of internal Storage. The tablet itself has a great looking dual-glass design and a decent 1920 x 1200-pixel Full HD display. The Fingerprint Scanner is a worthwhile feature which is easy to setup-calibrate for Single / Multiple user access. Being the Tab4 10 Plus version it also comes with a pretty hefty 7000 mA Battery which should last for about 20 hours under average usage conditions. The front facing top Stereo speakers (Landscape Mode) sound pretty good and can be optimised using the included Dolby Atmos Sound Equaliser.First use Android 7 Setup is easy, straight forward and allows Registration of the Tab4 10 Plus which activates the Lenovo Warranty. Having completed the Setup procedure, there was an Android 7.1.1 Update which is installed after the tablet Downloads and Re-boots.Having setup my Fingerprints and Code Number you need to scan your Fingerprint & enter your Code Number after a cold start. When the Display goes into Sleep mode you only need to scan your Fingerprint to awake the Tablet without the use of the Code Number. If you use a Sleep Mode Screen Saver you may need to tap the screen then Fingerprint Scan.Android 7.1.1 is just like previous versions but with an obvious enhanced Screen presentation of installed APPS. One thing I did like is you can clear all previous Task Panes (Square Icon Option) with the One Touch button which is a real-time saver. You can still clear previous Task Panes Individually as before if you want.In use, this Tablet is really Fast and Responsive which is what you would expect from a 2.0 GHz Processor and 4.0 GB of DDR3 SDRAM. It is really nice to have the 64 GB of storage without the need to supplement storage with an optional external micro SD card. Initially I thought the micro SD card slot was blanked off but actually has some sort of card tray that has to be removed. The Power supply plugs into the Tablet using a USB-C cable which means it can be plugged in either way which is a good design choice. I wanted to add an HDMI cable to my Tablet which requires a USB-C adaptor. It seems that these Adaptors have special protocols which I have not been able to determine this tablet has.I could not get the Tablets native Mirror Cast feature to connect with my LG TV like I use to be able to do using Intel Wireless Display on previous Tablets. However, when watching YouTube on the Tablet, there is the Mirror Cast icon on the YouTube top bar. By tapping this, whatever I am watching, goes straight to my TV and looks Great. Mirror Cast seems to work when activated from an App but not directly from the Tablet. I am probably doing something wrong although I don’t think so.To protect the Great looking dual-glass design, I have fitted a 3rd Party Case which puts the Tablet into Display Sleep Mode when closed. Although probably not needed, I have added a 9H Screen Protector which maintains a Super Clear/Sharp Display Image and the Touchscreen Responsiveness. As good as I think this tablet is, the real disappointment for me is that Lenovo decided not to include Hardware for a Magnetic Compass which I thought would be a given. I was hoping to use an Astronomy App which allows Live Sky imagery but will not work in this Mode without Magnetic Compass Hardware etc.I think this is a really Great Tablet. Its performance is what I was hoping for whilst its build quality and design is Brill. It seems to have all the Bells and Whistles that I wanted. However, it’s a real shame, about the Compass Issue. It is due to this I feel a 4 Star Rating is appropriate.

which lasted about a year and was a poor build, just under 4 years ago I bought ...
Having started my tablet adventure with a Chinese cheapy one, which lasted about a year and was a poor build, just under 4 years ago I bought a Lenovo A10-70, which was superb. Having decided to upgrade recently, I went for Lenovo again, but as the cheapest Lenovo tablet was only slightly better spec than my old one, I decided to splash out on the top model. Expensive, but the build is real quality, with a glass back it feels heavy and sleek, superb screen and finish, and battery life has been excellent so far (hoping it will stay at a high level as my old Lenovo did as time goes on). Apps zip along, and I can play some of the newer stuff as I now have Android 7.1.1. Whichever tablet model you buy, I would recommend the Lenovo ones.

Pop up keyboard could be better
Easy to set up and the touch screen is very responsive. If there is a main criticism it is the pop_up keyboard which has no "back" button to allow you to go back if you mistype. Also, you have to install a Contacts app which isn't included as standard. Overall it is great value for money.

Easy to use
Apps that don't work such as file organiser why put them in when they just waste your time trying to get them to work only to find that it does not work on your tablet. Other than that it is a good tablet and works perfectly.

Good Value
Tablet arrived before the time stated and communication was good. This tablet is fast, and familiar to use if you have a Moto g phone as made by the same company, you will proberly need a case, as for some reason they decided to make it with a glass back, and when you hold it,it feels slippery, apart from that it's a good tablet

This is the model without a nano sim slot
This is a great tablet, but the images shown include the tech spec for the TB-X704L. This is the TB-X704F model without the nano sim slot. Amazon are aware of this and should be removing the image from this item as it is misleading.
