It's so versatile
I purchased this make as I wanted a little more value for my money. I have not been disappointed. The quality and strength, and flexibility is there.I had the need to batch cook large amounts of mince, and chicken, and then freeze. Allowing me to get out a daily meal.I bag and seal and then write the date on the top of the bag before putting it to quick freeze (this is for my puppy chihuahua that has onefresh meat meal each day). It's great I have a real system going. I buy the bags on rolls so that I can make the size right for the small amount he requires. It's more economical.. Also I use a lot of spice and herbs, and dry ingredients in cooking. I buy in larger amounts and then split and seal for later use. It's also great for resealing bags of food that come in bags that you can reseal using the machine. The uses are endless the more you think about it, the more you can use it. Luvele Customer services are great too. I had one small query. When I pushed the seal only button and don't want to use vacuum and seal button. I hear the vacuum come on. They assured me this is quite normal. It's the way the machine works. The vacuuming stops in seconds, and it doesn't suck air out of the bag. It's not until you push 'Vacuum and Seal' that the air is extracted from the bag. What I like is the two buttons FOOD Dry/Moist, and SPEED normal/gentle. When I vacuum and seal my cooked meat I select FOOD Moist and SPEED gentle so that the food inside doesn't get damaged in anyway. I did not get this machine for free writing a review I purchased it.

Simple to use.Good finish. However its MADE IN CHINA i am not confident about the machines life .Also in case you want to use the canister you shall have to purchase Luvele canister sets i doubt whether its compatible with other cannister jars.Since the tube provided which has to be attached at both ends has similiar heads and fits only Luvele cannister sets atleast i tried on Andrew James vaccum sealer it does not fit.The sealer also makes noise but tolerable since the process takes not more than 2 to 3 minutes.

Surprisingly exciting and very easy to use
I am surprised how much I like this vacuum sealer. I've had it a couple of weeks and have used it a lot more than I thought I would. The first thing of note is how clear the instructions are - it comes with a proper booklet, with colour photos, detailed explantions of which button does what and why. It also has a 'storage life guide' which tells you where to, and for how long, you can store particular items.Because the instructions are so good, getting started is easy - it is very simple to operate, and while it has quite a few different modes, depending of whether you want to seal, seal and vacuum, normal or gentle, it is all very easy to accomplish. The next noteworthy aspect is the relatively small size of the whole thing - I had expected something much bigger and was quite pleased that it tucks away quite easily into my already quite full storage cupboard.Other reviewers have pointed out how nice this looks and I agree - the brushed steel and black makes it look like quite a professional bit of kit, and coupled with the very solid feel of it, this feels like a 'proper' kitchen gadget. It also comes with a good supply of bags and bag-making material (and these are both robust and reusable), so much so that I think the additional rolls that I ordered may sit on the shelf for a while before being called into action.I suppose that if this vacuum sealer had a down-side it's when you are trying to seal slightly moist items (apparently liquid items should be frozen first): even on the 'moist' setting it can tend to suck the moisture towards the top of the bag where the heat sealing takes place. The presence of this liquid can affect the process (presumably the heat sealing needs to dry, or near as possible, for it to work). I've managed to overcome this by simply running through the cycle a couple of times - this generally works fine. Nonetheless, if you plan to use you sealer for a lot of moisture rich foodstuffs and don't want the hassle then maybe consider a vertical sealer instead?By the way, this is a genuine review by a genuine Amazon customer who uses product reviews regularly. I never buy anything from Amazon without spending ages reading product reviews and very much value what fellow customers say - hopefully this review can help you

Simple to use, excellent finished product.
Bought this to vac-pack 4 sides of home-cured and smoked bacon. After playing with the different settings established that we could use Dry/Firm settings for bacon that has had a 4-day dry cure and 36 hour smoke. Provided a superbly finished, firmly packaged product that really shows of the quality of the bacon. Presented some to a chef friend of mine who immediately asked if he could retail the bacon, it was so well presented!Packer itself is a doddle to use. Just make sure your bag opening is central in the bag chamber, click one side at a time to get a clearly audible confirmation that the clips have set home, and away you go.Making bags from a roll similarly straightforward; just make sure the end of the bag *doesn't* enter the vac chamber if creating a bag from a roll.

Caution when reading these reviews
Purchased as product currently has 34 five star reviews and appeared good value for money. A quick google indicated that many of these are not trustworthy reviews. An amazon.com listing for the same product listed under "Smarson Automatic Food Vacuum Sealer" has plenty of poor reviews alongside some that are five star. I have cancelled my order, as I would be better off getting an equally poor product for a lower price.

Quality at a fair price.
Went for this sealer after much debating as there are now quite a few sealers on the market. We wanted a compact decent looking one that did the job it was purchased to do. The luvele deluxe vacuum food saver so far is proving to be just what we needed. I will post another review in twelve months.

Really good item
I didn't realise vacuum sealing meats etc extended the freezer life of foods to years and this gadget does the job fantastically. Great for fish, home-made sausages, joints of meat etc. Plenty big enough for most foods. Buy a big long roll of bag material when you get it.
