worth the price
Pay the extra and skip the hassle!!! We tried a couple of toilet safety rails. What we didn't like about the other one is you had to take off the seat and hook a metal thing in the back. Didn't work with high seat insert or in the space we had. they also seemed more difficult to assemble. However, THIS ONE.. this one was easy to install and fit in the space. Let me say easy to install one more time!! This is sturdy and adjustable. I also like that if we needed to use it at a different toilet it could easily take it off and move it to any toilet.. even if we were to stay in a hotel room or a family members home... this toilet rail will fit anything... no tools. Pay the extra and skip the hassle.

Glad I took the time to look!
I took quite a few hours on the internet looking for a toilet safety rail for my 82 year old dad almost 6 months ago because I wanted to find one with good ratings for stability but one that wasn't going to cost an arm and a leg! I was getting ready to buy another one when I come across this one! It was a little more than I really wanted to pay but I just didn't like the cheaper ones as well because of reviews! This one has come down in price about $20 but I guess that is what happens! I have to say that I'm glad that I took the time because it's sturdy for my 5'11" 270 lbs dad and it adjusted wide enough and in hight to be comfortable for him! He doesn't have the new odd shaped toilet so it works well for him! It was easy to assemble which is an added bonus!

Elongated bowl use needed product modification in narrow bathroom
Let me start out by saying I searched many toilet rail products and almost all were inferior to this product. That being said, for our narrow bathroom and elongated bowl toilet, the product required some modification. Because the distance between our tub (from where photo was shot) and our toilet bowl is so narrow, my dad's walker has to be side-stepped in front of the toilet for his safety (he is a fall risk) and if the top bar of the toilet rail is left in, the product had to be positioned at least 6" further forward, which interfered with walker mobility and (even though legs are set back) increased tripping risk over one of the legs. While the rail is more stable with both bars, the top bar can be removed and the unit positioned further back. The remaining crossbar is still not flush with the toilet base after re-positoning the unit, but the decreased stability with only one crossbar was offset by adding two bunji cords around the back of the toilet base and attaching them to the rear of the unit. I will look for some end caps to place in the tube openings where the top front crossbar was removed; until then I used duck tape to keep mosture out of the open bar ends. When the unit is shifted back, the open bar ends meet the toilet bowl and this also adds some stability. So with some modfications, the unit still works well. A re-design for elongated bowls should be considered; though this may be difficult to do with all the variations of bowl shapes. This toilet rail has a high price so additional flexibility for use with multiple bowl shapes would be desireable. Still, this was the best alternative to lower priced, not at all very well designed and unstable competative units on the market including products with and without legs, free-standing and attached.

Rickety, low confidence, unstable but highly variable. Fits larger adults.
The design is good, but her are the bad issues. It is rickety and unstable, plus there were NO instructions included and it was poorly packaged. It also flexes a lot with minimal load when standing up.It is very adjustable tho and should fit most toilets, hi/low etc. It will hold the specified weight, but it shifts a lot and might not be the best for all users, especially ones with balance issues! The good part is that the legs sit farther back than most similar products and so it's not out in the room to trip over. It's also wide, even in the narrow configuration. Large humans can easy sit in it without getting clamped by the frame like our previous one. It also lets you use your regular toilet seat and we even have our bidet add-on installed with it. I had to look at the ad photos to see how it should be assembled, without instructions. I'm pretty mechanical, but some might have trouble. There is a kitchy bag attached that I removed for hygenic reasons, and also a really cheap TP holder, removed. They should ditch these and drop the price $2. It's junk.Final opinion, 3 stars. Does the job, could be a lot better tho. I'm keeping it mainly because of the fit in my bath. It works for us and we can live with the flaws. That is all ....

Extremely sturdy frame and bars for toilet for elderly or injured.
Extremely sturdy frame for toilet. I purchased, assembled and installed 2 in my grandmother's home. Please note it works best if your toilet bowl sides have a wider edge to grip with, but mechanism adjustable enough for a good fit no matter the bowl. I would not recommend for barbaric patients, as it perhaps not as wide as they need, but it is adjustable in width. You will need pliers to make sure it is secure, and know that the black foam padded piece with have a little give to it, as it needs to be flexible enough not to crack your toilet bowl.I paired with a raised toilet lift for maximum ease for my elders. Frame may seem pricey, but it well constructed and you wont need to buy a new lifted seat with wobbly handles every sixe months with this unit. Customer service is top notch, finding a way to deliver from China even during higher tariffs, extended ship times from Covid crisis. Hope his helps you find a solution that is best for your elders.

Cheap Materials
Item is very wobbly for what the intentions are for this item. Not safe for the elderly to use.

OK Rails
The unit was easy to assemble and install. This was number ? I have indtalled in the last few years. In the past, they were for friends but these 2 were for house use to welcome a new knee. The handles could be surtdier compaired to memory of previous units. While there is a little movement they held well for a 270 puonder's use.
