Ordered this to teach my 11 year old grandson pcb soldering techniques.But the advertising was misleading as in the picture shown it was much larger? Also the writing on pcb and the instructions leaflet was in places l legible. Therfore we have been unable to build it!

The media could not be loaded. Construction not too difficult. The plated through PCB does not have tinned solder pads. I have fitted the LEDs on the opposite side to other components, to keep the display clear. I also used my own I.C. sockets. Four LEDs failed after a few seconds use and had to be replaced with difficulty. Spare red ones are supplied but only one yellow. Three yellows failed open circuit, so I had to use my own spares. One red failed short circuit meaning seven others in the circuit did not work. They had to be removed one at a time until the faulty one was found.
