Braun Oral-B Advanced Power 400 battery toothbrush Colour May Vary

I was a little hesitant to order the Braun Oral-B Advanced Power 400 Battery-Operated Toothbrush at first as I thought that for the low price there was no way it would be a good enough toothbrush. But I was wrong! At the time I ordered the toothbrush it was £5.67 with free delivery so I figured it was worth a try and placed my order. The toothbrush came quickly and was well packaged. The toothbrush only comes with one brush head but again, for the price I really can't complain. I had a little difficulty opening the battery cap but all was well after a few tries. This is a very good toothbrush and I'm really pleased I decided to order one. For the price it's fantastic value! I've been using my toothbrush for one month now and I've had no problems at all! I would certainly order another one.

I needed to replace my old (over eight years) power toothbrush quickly, to ensure my teeth and mouth were absolutely clean. I have a depressed immune system and cannot afford to pick up any unwanted bacteria in my mouth. However, after looking on Amazon I was able to find a variety of replacement power toothbrushes and this one fitted the bill. When it came, I immediately tried it out and found it to be exactly as described, BUT, also was almost overcome with its 'lack of noise'! My old one was quite a noisy piece of apparatus, which, late at night could well disturb others, but NOT this one! I am really happy with its ability to clean my teeth and mouth so well, and the brush with an almost silent operation? Perfect!

This is nowhere near as powerful as the rechargeable Braun toothbrushes but... it's much more versatile because it doesn't rely on having a mains facility for charging. I bought mine for use while travelling knowing that I wouldn't have access to any power supply. Using AA batteries, it can be used anywhere and replacement batteries are readily available. At home I use rechargeable AA batteries and while travelling keep a small, easily-carried, stock of AA alkaline batteries allowing complete independence and these will last for several weeks in regular use. Although not as powerful as the rest of Braun's range this is still good and far, far better than a manual toothbrush and all of Braun's toothbrush heads fit. A good buy - especially for travelling.

Having had enough of expensive, rechargeable electric toothbrushes ceasing to work after a year or so, I bought this. It's a basic electric toothbrush that doesn't floss your teeth or shoot jets of water between your gums, but it does a pretty good job of cleaning your teeth. It takes most of ORAL B's brush types too. I travel a lot and I like the idea of not being reliant on a mains connection to recharge the batteries when they run down. With this, it's easy enough to pack a couple of spares just in case. My previous, also battery-powered, toothbrush finally gave up the ghost after several years of faithful service, so this was a replacement. I am very happy with its performance and the battery life in amazing.

Great for the price does the job my teeth feel very clean . Personally I would not by a rechargeable one because they are messy just clutter I use this toothbrush wipe it down and put it in a draw easy life .No plug and wires

At home we use Oral-B all-singing, all-dancing, toothbrushes. However, as we can both be called to travel at short notice, we have 'grab bags' full of essential items...toiletries, phone/watch chargers, adaptors etc. Having realised, at an airport, that I had forgotten to pick up my toothbrush, I was pleased to find a battery option in the chemist. Two years on and a few head changes later, I have only just changed the batteries for the first time. Him indoors thought this was a splendid idea and requested that I source one for him. I purchased this slightly updated model from Amazon and it's sleek appearance gave me toothbrush envy...so I bought a new one for myself. Now we have a spare at home, which is perfect for visiting guests who may have forgotten their own. The toothbrush takes every Oral-B head that we've tried, so is perfect for sharing and saves having to take a charger when travelling.

I've been using these toothbrushes for years and they are much better than their rechargeable counterparts. My biggest complaint with the rechargeable models is that they always seem to run more slowly and need endless recharging. With these models, battery life is good with a change needed every couple of months or so for non-rechargable batteries. I use rechargeable batteries these days and they will keep going for a month or so. The only negative I can think of is something mentioned in some of the other reviews - the battery compartment cover can be tricky to remove and sometimes splits when putting it back on. Yes, getting the lid off can be a wrestle, the retaining clip release buttons need a good hard push to get them loose. I've found to stop the splitting, wet the rubber seal on the body of the toothbrush (or use a small blob of Vaseline) and push the lid back on gently - using this method I've not had one split for years, but there is no doubt that the design of the battery compartment could be better.

After a few years they can get a bit temperamental, but best clean easy change heads easy battery change 1x AA. Just buy a new one for £10-£15.
