Q: I knit with 1.25 wide strips cut from old sheets. How hard do you think it would be to cut these strips in down the middle. I use the rotary cutter.

It's doable, but I'm not sure it's practical. If you are going to use a ruler and rotary to cut them, I think it would be easier to just buy an assortment of 1/4 or even 1/8 yard cuts and cut them. Same amount of work. I also think keeping the precut strips straight so you get an accurate 1 1/4" strips would be challenging.

Q: Can you use this for rugs

Quite possibly. The strips are 2-1/2” wide and about 44” in length and are 100% cotton. There are 40 of them to a roll. (Quilters call them jelly rolls!) Machine washable. They are predominantly used for quilting but if put together lengthwise I don’t see why it couldn’t be used to make a braid then a sewn together to make a rug. Oval or round.
