When I was younger I cared little for putting a lot of effort in skin care. I was a young, athletic equestrian and naturally very attractive, just ask the men who tried their best to win my heart as well as the husband who finally did. Much later I noticed another older, familiar woman staring back at me in the mirror and realized that, although no longer physically, athletically able on the outside to join the fox hunt, on the inside I felt completely confident and had no intention of watching the woman in the mirror age while my inner woman quietly condones times cruelty. I want to enjoy my youth as much as possible and when I look good, I feel good. I set out on an entirely different hunt. After trying many other products that may have worked for others but not for me, I read that Scarlet Johansson had developed a line of skin care products and the reviews were excellent. I did some research and learned more about her skin care products, The Outset and ordered the sampler pack. The Outset skin care line is exactly what I was looking for and works great for me. Their products last for months and the results are outstanding. The Outset Firming Vegan Collagen Prep Serum is a standout in my skincare routine. It absorbs effortlessly and leaves my skin feeling firmer and revitalized. For optimal results, I use it after cleansing with The Outset Gentle Micellar Antioxidant Cleanser and before The Outset Exfoliating Caffeine Micro Polish. As Helen Mirren wisely said, “Aging is not lost youth but a new stage of opportunity and strength.” This serum helps embrace that opportunity by keeping my skin looking youthful and refreshed. I first discovered The Outset while pregnant since the brand and formulations are so clean yet still backed by science. The products are all gorgeous, simple and effective. I am typically a seven- step skincare girlie, but I have found that this serum takes the place of at least 3 of my products. It’s lightweight ,hydrating, and makes my skin dewy and supple. I have layered it under all kinds of makeup and it never pills up or makes my makeup look flakey. I also have used it as my serum for my Solawave and my skin looks super supple after just minutes with them combined. It’s perfect for day and night, has improved the redness around my mouth and nose from harsh New England winters, and is the perfect compliment to any other skincare or makeup products. Highly recommend!!

I love this stuff, my only complaint is a lot gets wasted at the end because the pump doesn't reach the bottom. If you swirl it around you can sometimes get a bit more but typically 1/5th gets wasted. I use this stuff after using a mild toner on my face. I can wear this under makeup no problem. I usually put CeraVe moisturizer on top, then Charlotte Tillsbury Magic cream/primer before makeup and do not have any issues with flaking or peeling. This product seems to work well with others without causing other products to break down. I also use this before putting on a heavy night cream. For me, this is a staple in my daily and nightly routines, I just want a better bottle/pump.

I really like this serum. Someone used it on me at Sephora during a demo because I discussed My concerns with redness (rosacea) and aging. This product feels nice going on and absorbs well into skin. I’ve been using it for about a month with the other the outset products. The only downside is that the serum hasn’t lasted as long as the cleanser, day and night moisturizers and I already Need more

I’m obsessed with this serum! It’s super lightweight, fragrance-free, and feels amazing on my skin. My face looks noticeably more hydrated, plump, and smooth since I started using it. I love that it’s clean, vegan, and gentle for sensitive skin. It absorbs quickly without feeling sticky or greasy, making it perfect for layering under makeup or moisturizer. Originally got this product from QVC, but Amazon just ships it a lot faster. Second time buying the product and it’s completely worth it—I use it as a serum/primer before bb cream and concealer. It doesn’t make you look oily, more glowy, and it’s not too sticky. Provides lot of moisture and you’ll notice a different in your skin immediately!! It’s also effective against acne and sensitive skin.

I have every step of The Outset skincare regimen. I'm a fan of Scarlett Johansson's and I heard about her new skincare line. I'm 49, have oily/combination skin but it is sensitive and prone to getting pink/red. This serum is light enough to layer under the regimen's moisturizer without making me greasy. I have no reaction whatsoever to the serum, and the cost is reasonable for higher end skin care. I use her moisturizer afterwards, or at night, I use the nighttime moisturizer. Definitely recommend for anyone with sensitive skin and also on a budget. I think this would be great for teen's as well. The only product she doesn't have yet is a sunblock to use after moisturizing, but I can buy that anywhere (usually Amazon!). Highly recommend this The Outset.
