Living Accents Bankers Lamp 13.5" high (34.3cm)

I've always wanted a bankers lamp for my home office, but my wife vetoed the traditional green/bronze variety. I was excited to find this one and the price was very reasonable. The item was packaged very well with plenty of Styrofoam keeping the various pieces safe. Assembly was a breeze, just thread the cord through and then screw in either side of the stem. The lamp takes a 60w bulb and you can even use the new flourescent varieties because the white glass is shaded enough to soften the brightness.Only one star removed because there were some black scuff marks on the glass covering that needed to be scrubbed to remove. Ultimately it looks good, but I'd expect it to come looking good originally.

It's a well-made banker's lamp. Workmanship is good and if you like this style you'll like this lamp.The only minor complaint I have about this lamp is glare. The white glass shade really lights up bright - particularly if you use a 60w bulb. Because it is white and translucent shade really isn't a shade - it's a diffuser. The light on the shade is just about as bright as the light on the table. So instead of being a task light it's more like an ambient light. If you've ever owned a traditional green-shaded Banker's Lamp and were expecting a similar effect you'll be disappointed. You will not want to work up close with this lamp while writing, reading, etc.

I was looking for a relatively small bankers lamp for my desk, and this was just what I was looking for. It's not too big and it gives plenty of light. The base is a little larger than I would have liked, but it is nice and sturdy. It was easy to put together and I like that the shade swivels so that you can adjust the angle of the light to where you want it. It looks really nice on my desk and it was great value for the money.

Pretty decent lamp, looks nice on my desk. One thing that bothers me is that the metal pull chain has a ball on the end that is very heavy and could easily break the glass if you are not careful when putting it together. The first one I got in the mail was broken for this reason. Also, the lightbulb goes in off-center so it kind of looks like there's a bulb on one side and the other side is out. I wanted to add a photo but I guess that's not an option anymore.

I've always loved the look of these lamps. Since I am going for a lighter, less claustrophobic look on my desk I chose this one. I have a large desk with a long 3 shelf built on storage siting on the back of the desk area. It gets a bit dark in here on some days and early evenings and I do not like having the overhead light on. This lamp provides the right amount of brightness for the dark corner without causing unnecessary glare or eye strain.

Works and looks very nice. My only complaint is that when you assemble it the cord does not go straight to the rear of the lamp. It is offset as depicted in the photo which can make placement on a desk odd. Also the glass is a little thinner and more fragile than I expected but since it really isn't meant to be manhandled anyway as long as it arrives in good shape it shouldn't be a problem.

The lamp is cute and I've gotten several compliments on it already, however, for some reason I can't put it together so the electricity cord ends up at the back -- it keeps ending up at the front. That's a bit disappointing, but then again, this lamp is super cheap and looks really good, especially for the price.

Was looking for a solid bankers lamp with a frosted white shade and this was perfect. I use this with a Philips Hue bulb and it reflects the colors perfectly. My only gripe is that when you assemble it to full tightness the cord does not exit the rear, it's a bit cocked off to the side. Also the shade doesn't sit perfectly level.
