Worth It
I am a female, even though the account says Robert because I share this with my husband. Anyway, I do not spend a lot of money on hair care or make up or any kind of self-care items like that. In fact, I use Madison Reed to color my hair myself at home. That being said, every time I finished coloring it and use the shampoo and conditioner that comes with the coloring kit my hair turned out amazing. So when I saw that I could get the shampoo and conditioner on Amazon, I decided to try it even though this is a splurge for me. But the great news is it is so amazing! I live in an area that has hard water and my hair is normally dull and does not keep its color for very long. This shampoo and conditioner works miracles with my hair. It’s shiny, manageable, soft, and styles so easily. I cannot say enough, good things about this shampoo and conditioner. I was considering getting a water softener because it was so bad but now I don’t have to. Totally worth it.

Makes my hair look so shiny!
All my life, I have had curly/wavy hair. When I was younger, I was CONSTANTLY getting compliments on my hair thanks to the '80's and '90's trends at the time. Thanks, Jennifer Beals / Flashdance. Now that my hair is getting close to being 100% gray, I have to color it regularly to maintain my brunette shade. So, the combination of having a more wiry hair texture and using color to cover it up has made my hair super dry and straw-like. Keeping my hair looking healthy and shiny has become a real challenge. My usual tricks for keeping my hair looking great that worked so well before going gray no longer work. Sigh. This conditioner has worked the best out of anything that I've used lately. I've even tried deep conditioners and bond repair products at much higher price points, but they never seem to work well on me, at least not consistently over time. One other conditioner that works great on my hair is Oléo-Relax by Kérastase, which is on the higher end, price-wise. The Madison Reed conditioner guarantees me a good hair day, so I am grateful that I've found it. It's somewhat pricier than the usual drugstore brands, but I don't mind paying a little extra, since it works for me.
