Walking round Clitheroe
This little book is excellent. Even I managed to follow the directions! The walks were very picturesque and not too energetic - some of them even incorported a pub for lunch. If you enjoy countryside scenery and don't mind crossing fields full of sheep or cows this is for you. It really enhanced our holiday.

Splendid walks
I did four of the walks whilst spending a few days in Clitheroe. All were well worth doing. But the instructions are becoming slightly outdated. For example, several stiles have become gates, or have just disappeared. Two paths seem to have had slight diversions. If you bear this in mind as you do the walks you should be OK, but maybe the book could do with a reprint (my edition was published in 2008).

short walks
The book is neat and compact taking you on short circular walks around the area. Small enough to put in a pocket. Would recommended to family and friends. Have not yet had the opportunity to try the walks out but hope to in the near future.

Misleading path
I haven’t actually bought this book but we contacted Terry Marsh as his book takes people through our land on a non existent path it would be helpful if it was retracted from sale and a new one amended. We have lots of people trespassing through no fault of there own just Terry hasn’t checked properly on the OS map.

Cars? Where we're going we can't take a car!
With my wife's family coming from this area you'd kind of think I'd know my way around the walks in this book, but to be honest it brought Clitheroe & the surrounding areas to me in a completely different view. I have to admit that I am one of the "unfit society", the car was invented to be used after all, but even I enjoyed wandering along the suggestions in this book. Even though after the seven mile walk I think I nearly needed an oxygen mask (purely me not cos of the book!)I'd recommend this to anyone as a quick way of getting out and about and especially around a pituresque Clitheroe (ok like anywhere nothing's perfect, but on these walks it comes fairly close!).Go on, give it a go, it's not a lot of money and if nothing else you'll get some fresh air!
