Q: Are the blubs standard size

The bulbs are standard g9 bulbs all g9 fit

Q: Do the crystal lamps clip on or do they screw tight?

Screw on but one doesn't fit properly.

Q: How easy is it to use the foot switch I have problems with balance so I'm reluctant is it on the base of the stand or is it a switch on the Pole?

It is on a long wire coming out from the lamp and sits flat on the floor. Hope this helps.
