The Best Little Flush Cutter I've Ever Owned
I've been in electronics for years, and a good pair of flush cutters is an absolute must-have. After using the Hakko CHP-170 for a few weeks, I can confidently say it's the best pair I've ever owned, and it’s an incredible value for the money. The precision is what truly stands out. The jaws come together perfectly, allowing for an incredibly clean, flush cut on even the smallest wires and zip ties. There’s no crushing or fraying—just a perfectly smooth snip every single time. It feels like a high-end tool, but without the high-end price tag. The handle is comfortable and the spring-loaded action is smooth, so it never feels like a chore to use, even during repetitive tasks. I’ve used it on everything from 24 AWG wire to snipping the leads on small components, and it has performed flawlessly. For anyone who does any kind of electrical work, soldering, or hobby projects, this is a game-changer. It's a small tool that makes a huge difference in the quality of your work.

A must have for 3d printing
Needed a pair of cutters for my latest obsession in 3d printing. These are sharp, light, yet have a quality feel to them. Been using them constantly over the last few months and they still keep cutting cleanly.

Perfect for cutting zip ties.
These are so great to have around the house or workshop. They cut zip ties cleanly with no sharp edges. They cut anything up to 12 gauge with ease. They are very well made and are cheap enough to get multiples for around the house.

Edges not sharp but boy do these cut VERY cleanly thin copper wire
HAKKO, USA brand MICRO CUTTERS arrived quickly, w/in 1-2 days of placing order. The cutting edges didn’t feel sharp to touch but “oh my goodness” did they very CLEANLY CUT! the wick(cotton & very thin copper wires coiled together)of my WDMart electric lighter in a sweet sounding “snip”. The steel is SK5 high carbon steel which to me is superior to chrome-vanadium steels, it’s more durable=edges last longer & high carbon steel cuts better overall(just my opinion). IF ur needing a pair micro cutters to “snip” thin copper wires. Would probably cut micro-filament line as well, but I don’t fish so I can’t test, sorry. Very pleased w/purchase & would absolutely buy again!

They're perfect for 3D printing. For the money, there are no better.
I bought these for my 3D printers. My tools all have feet and wander off, so I put pencils, tape measures, and now micro-cutters all over my shop so I can find one when I need it. They're more than worth the money for this use. Model makers could likely use them, too. They're substantially cheaper than the equivalent at Harbor Fright and better. The blade are very good and there are no gaps. I wouldn't use them for electronics but they're excellent for other uses. It's probably not fair, but one point off because they aren't the best. They are excellent for what I bought them for.

Durable, sharp, & easy to use
As a longtime scrapper with much experience of clippers breaking, I bought these with some skepticism of their quality. I need not have worried. These are by far the best I have ever used. They cut through wire, steel, & plastic with ease, & even do thicker items than other clippers of the equivalent size & shape. The nose of the clipper is able to get into tight areas, like between the posts of a transformer on a circuit board. I have had so many clippers snap one side or the other of the cutting nose off, doing what these have done with half the work. They are surprisingly sharp, as I only have to use about half the pressure as a similar one from ACE. Price-wise, they are worth their weight in gold, & have already paid for themselves in the amount of scrap metal I have been able to process. The only negative I have is the handles are covered in a slightly harder rubber that I'm used to, so it could be softer. Still, this is the only one I wish to use going forward. I may update this after a while, once I use them more, but from my experience thus far I give this product a 150 out of 100.
