These were fantastic. Slightly buried in soil so they stood up and the slugs turn back! They aren’t very clever, so if they are buried in the soil on the inside they were happily trapped in, so those guys had to be extracted the first night, but I just came to the listing to get some more and am gutted they are unavailable!

As several previous reviewers have mentioned, these are very flimsy indeed. It's really fiddly trying to make a fold over to hold the ends together once you've got the band round a plant, and they're too thin to easily push down into the soil. However, they are cheaper than other (thicker) bands with slots and they do seem to make some difference, so not all bad, although they certainly don't deter all the slugs and snails in my garden who appear to be a pretty determined bunch.

Rather thinner than I expected - the illustration is misleading. And making the reverse bends for fixing is fiddly, resulting in shorter bands. The slot together system is much easier. But still good value for money

I tested this myself on the garden path. I put it in front of slugs and they wouldn't cross it. They tried and some would get halfway and then turn back. It didn't bother the snails though, first snail just slithered over it like it wasn't there. But to be fair, it doesn't claim to stop snails, but definitely works against slugs.If you are using it for larger plants such as tomatoes, just put a collar around the base of the stem and it will work. Also, you could do loads of plants like this because you only need to use about 3 inches of the copper band.

Thought they would have been in a circle not just a strip. No way of connecting them together either. Very thin so hard to push in to ground

Good size rings, easy to fit and adjust around different sized plants (maximum circumference approximately 12cm). Beautifully packaged.
