A great compelling page-turner.
A brilliant book and very easy to get into. Olivia is young when the book begins and there is a brief introduction to how it all began before it jumps to 5 years later when the story really starts and we follow her and Grant and watch how in her innocence and naivety she copes with the post-apocalyptic way of life as well as the blossoming of the relationship between the two of them. Such a well-written story and a thoroughly enjoyable read that I totally recommend to all readers of raunchy romantics to post-apocalyptic books. I'm now beginning number three in the Kindled series Embers.

Really great
I love this genre of books. Last Light is still my favourite and I keep rereading it.⭐⭐⭐⭐ for this book . The lack of communication between H/h was a tad annoying. That made them almost coldwith each other. But at the end FINALLY they open up! Can't wait for the next book!

So pleased that the series continues
Given the state of the world right now a post-apocalyptic romance seems so much more real and relevant than an office based contemporary fluff novel. Not that contemporary fluff is bad!Haven is one of my favourite romances. I am thrilled that Claire Kent has continued the series. The faith in humanity and love despite the wider disaster is extremely well done. I was worried that the "princess" would be an extremely annoying character in the apocalypse but she is kickass without being conceited. The hero was understandably a bit stressed about saving the princess which was a fabulous hiccup in their evolving relationship. Who is going to save who?Thank you for continuing the series.Real and enjoyable.

Enjoyable
I’m enjoying this series. I consider first light to be the first in the series. I’ve enjoyed all 3 but Princess is my favourite so far because it starts right at the beginning of the event and I like hearing about people’s initial reactions. I like the love story aspects of all the stories but this also had more action elements which made it stand out.

glued to this series
Headlines:Age-gap (not creepy)A different take on this Kindled worldBunker lifeI am so taken by this series by Claire Kent and my only complaint is where the asteroid fell (what about Europe?!). What I like about this series is that there isn't rehashing of the apocalyptic event, this series is all about survival afterwards and the interconnected couples through the series.Princess gave us a bunker existence perspective for some of the book and that felt really fresh. The couple in Grant and Olivia took a familiar path, somewhat similar to the previous book but I still thoroughly enjoyed reading their journey. It was push and pull, uncertainty and chemistry.I really enjoyed the grander picture, seeing the previous couples, communities and how that bigger plot is weaving together. The threats from the unsavoury part of humanity put the communities trying to survive at risk and it had the reader absolutely on edge at times.I cannot wait for the two further books coming in this series and the names I've seen that will be in subsequent stories. Princess was the kind of book you can read in a day and feel completely satisfied in the ride.

Read the book in one sitting
I am certainly very happy to be back to this series and the world after an apocalypse has occurred. The author puts together a great pairing while they have so much to overcome with themselves and everything they know is changed on so many levels.Olivia is only 17 when she is suddenly pulled from school by her rich father and he has sent Grant to collect her. She only finds out when she has landed in Kentucky and seen her father what is about to happen and spends five years underground locked up with a load of others surviving in a bunker until the air clears enough to open. By this time she is an orphan.Grant is always there in the background looking after people and being one of the men in charge, but it is Olivia who has to make the first move.Olivia is a strong character and always does her part and extra if she can either in the bunker or when they surface, she does not want to be a princess and works hard and gets up early to swim for over an hour in their underground pool. This is all part of her routine and keeps her sane.I like how the relationship between Olivia and Grant develops and who it is other people who see there relationship better than Olivia when she is struggling to understand what is going on. Once the air is finally cleared between the pair and they start to communicate better it is lovely to see Grant finally lowering his walls and loving Olivia they way she wants and needs.I am really looking forward the ne next books in this series.
