Excellent Trilogy
Just read all three books, back to back, over the weekend. To me this was the perfect trilogy. Great fast-paced story. Many aspects of the story I didn’t see coming even though I might have guessed who was behind the mischief but I was also wrong a time or two and was totally flabbergasted. My favorite of the trilogy was the first but each book was great. Some spoilers ahead:I really love Rina Kent’s characters and how they are unique and winsome when they really shouldn’t be like Adrian and Damien. I like that this was a slow burn with not as much sex as all of her other books but it felt authentic to the story as they were in the Russian service and they all thought she was a man for most of the first book. I also think spicy books sometimes use the spice as filler and it’s not really part of the story... three chapters and spice, two chapters and spice.I’ve come to love this Rina Kent universe and see the potential for more books given the nature of this trilogy and the many new characters she introduced especially in this series.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟for the fast paced story and characters🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 for spice even though this is a slow burn but it felt true to the story and plot.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for a unique plot and some real surprising plot twists

Blood of My Monster was an enjoyable dark mafia romance book. This is the first book in the Monster Trilogy, so be warned that this does end on quite a cliffhanger. It is dual POVs of the main characters, Sasha and Kirill, and has some great tropes like, an age gap, close proximity, a captain-soldier dynamic, and a slow burn romance. The overall premise was interesting and well developed. I really liked the Mulan vibes, as Sasha was pretending to be a man in the army. Her reasoning was quite intriguing as well and I’m curious to see how that all unfolds in the next book. There were also some action-packed, crazy, and intense moments, which I really enjoyed.I will say though, there was quite a bit of repetitive dialogue, and I would have liked more scenes or chapters of Sasha and Kirill in the army as I actually really liked that aspect.I was also surprised with Kirill, as he has been very mysterious in the other books, that he was actually quite funny. I loved his sarcasm and deadpan humor. The romance between them was very much a slow burn but still passionate, intense, and steamy. They honestly worked so well together despite their differences. Kirill’s obsession and possessiveness of her seems to be just starting as well, so I’m excited to see how far he’ll go. I definitely want a bit more romantic development/romantic scenes between them in the next book though. The ending was really good, that cliffhanger honestly left me with a lot of questions and in need for the next book as soon as possible.Overall, just an entertaining read and great start to the series!

Absolutely PERFECT
I can't even explain to you how much I absolutely, completely LOVED this book and its characters. I'm just in AWE, in love and satiated after finishing the first part of this story (and yes, in shock and angst after that brutal cliffhanger!). Right now I would tell you without a doubt that this is my favorite book lolYeah, I must admit in the beginning I felt a bit put off by Sasha being in the military, dressed as a man and no one notices?! (except from Kirill, of course), but then, I really enjoyed the whole thing and how this didn’t prevent Sasha from being/wanting to be/feel like a woman nor the growing attraction between them. It was actually a great stepping stone to tons of funny and... interesting moment between them. I LOVED the combination of military men + mafia men. I just, can't. I can't believe how perfect this combination is until I came across this book and, girl, KIRILL. OH MY GOD. This man is EVERYTHING. SO serious, competent, intense, masculine, beastly, strong, dominant, confident, sexy. Everything he DOES AND SAY. How could Sasha ever resist him?! I loved reading how his mind worked, and how we could clearly differentiate between each point of view because of how different the two main characters are. THE WAY SASHA SEES HIM AND DESCRIBES HIM was a turn on in itself. The descriptions and observations were so vivid, they painted such a real picture of this man that yeah, it took my breath away and I felt just like Sasha, unable to not "look" at him. And Sasha! I can easily say that she's my favorite female character ever. I just LOVED how strong she was, in the mental and resilient sense of the word (and I'm sure physically too, if she could keep up with a military regime nonetheless), but also how sassy (without being annoying) and feminine and lovely! And that, regardless of Kirill's stoicness and distance, she chooses (can't help herself?) to still be vulnerable in front of him (cries, shows and expresses her desires). I loooove her! It's truly been a while since I read such a perfect combination of a female character, one that doesn’t need to belittle men to be/feel strong and one that gives in to her... femininity too. I don't know, JUST READ IT. So... the two of them together? PERFECTION. Them, the story, their story, all the other characters and drama. Totally recommend it!

Booktok worthy
Rina Kent is a GODDESS of an author. She brings us this masterpiece. With twists and turns, a sexy MMC, and beautifully built characters, I was in heaven. I don’t like to spoil books, so I won’t say much, but as an avid Rina Kent reader, I recommend this book!
