Existing Meross plug user, now with energy monitoring
I've used Meross plugs for a couple of years in our house to control lights when away, stop the tumble drier from doing its 5-minute turn-the-clothes-over-once-dry-but-everyone-is-asleep thing, etc. I've been very happy with them. The Meross app is one of the better ones I have for smart control and they tie into Google Home well. The energy monitoring on my latest batch of 4 plugs is a welcome addition. I have one attached to a small tube heater in my garden office and can sleep easy knowing that it costs ~25p per day to keep the chill off out there. It was shocking to find out that the xmas tree lights were 60p per day but ho-ho-ho we were really just using the plug to schedule their use.I would love to see a better monitoring graph on the app. Currently you can see real time use, daily use by day in the week, daily use by day of the month and then monthly use across the year. I would love to see a graph across the day as well - maybe even just by hour.Otherwise... great plugs.

easy, great, but massive so can't fit next to another usual plug
easy to setup and to use, works great, you can set many schedules in the same day plus a week ahead, but my goodness they are massive so they can't fit next to another usual plug which means you can't use any other plug next to them, not even small ones.they also make a loud clunk noise when the schedule turns them on.

Noisy and bulky
It was easy to install to apple home. But needed another app to connect to alexaVery noisy when turning on and off. Also bulky that you cant use the plug next to it. I guess rhe mini series would be better

Mainly brilliant
Soo so clever!I found it challenging to set up, but once you get the hang of it it’s simpleLove how much energy you can save using thisWe know have them in nearly all our plugsIt’s handy to be able to leave the home with the peace of mind that my children haven’t left their hair straighteners on!

A little bulky but works great with Alexa
This particular model of smart plug is quite bulky and covers the power switch on the socket you insert it into. I know Meross also do a mini version which is a little more expensive, however this particular model works great with Alexa and once in the power outlet you can power on/off with the switch on top of the unit rather that the one on the outlet.

Small, convenient smart-plug - excellent for use with Apple's HomeKit
I had a wall light that came with no mechanical on/off switch. Worse, the trailing socket that was fixed in place that it connected to, didn't either. So to operate the light, I had to physically disconnect and reconnect the mains plug itself - which was far from ideal.I purchased this meross device on the combination of it being relatively inexpensive and that it supported Apple's HomeKit.Once it arrived - I tried to do the usual wi-fi connection-to-device routine of using the router's WPS function. That didn't appear to work. I then read in the manual that this device specifically operates on the 2.4Ghz frequency and not 5Ghz. So, I temporarily disabled the 5Ghz channel and tried again - still no luck. The above was attempted using the 'Add device' option with in the Home app on the iPhone itself. Each attempt, saw it time-out with no success by scanning the QR code on the side of the smart plug.Ensuring that Bluetooth was switch on my iPhone - I did the following in order to get it to work...Opened up the Home app.Clicked on the small '+' in the top right corner.Clicked on the first option - Add AccessoryIgnored the 'Scan a Setup Code' and 'Hold iPhone Near Accessory' options and instead, clicked on the orange option that says 'More options...'Stood near the smart plug with Bluetooth enabled on the phone, the meross device appeared there. You then have the option to type in the device number - printed on the side of the smart plug itself above the QR code. It should be an 8-digit number. It then goes through the syncing process and asks you to give the smart plug a name to recognise it in the Home app.The above worked fine for me - which personally I found to be a LOT more secure than using meross's own app that requires a login to be created, access to your Bluetooth on your phone and network discovery of devices in your home. Thanks, but no thanks!A good device that I'd have no issue in buying additional units of - should the need arise.

Chunky but does the job
Works well but a bit on the chunky side so stops me using the plug next to it on my multigang extension lead. Now that I know they do a slim version I would get that next time! No issue with the Meross app or integration with Alexa once I’d set it up correctly! I can now control my Christmas lights via Alexa!!!

Make sure you authorise this in the Alexa App, i forgot and spent ages trying to get it working
As with all these devices that you integrate with Alexa, you need to authorise them in the Alexa App, i clearly had a blonde moment and forgot to do this and it clearly would not integrate with alexa. Once completed properly though, it worked really well. A lesson to you all, follow the instructions, even if you are a seasoned alexa user - my bad.All the usual functions such as scheduling and scene setting is available.
